Sir William Hill.

After Padley I had a wander around Surprise View and came back to the car park via Millstone Edge. Very cloudy with the odd break letting the sun peep through.

This was taken near the foot of Millstone Edge, looking over to Sir William Hill. It was supposed to be a five shot pano but the fifth shot to the right wouldn't stitch. I still quite like the light though even if the image looks slightly unbalanced to me.

Please, don't "award" my photo with copy and paste comments, gif's and other glittering self- or group-promoting stuff.

Just for the record, to keep some of the instinctive feeding behaviour for these birds, their food is hidden in boxes and cups etc. I can't remember the name of this beautiful bird though!

eat and drink responsibly... have a good month... :-)

catch up soon...

Thanks for looking... :-)

In case anyone is curious, the whiskey is Glen Moray Single Malt Scotch (which is delicious, BTW), and the wine is Arbor Mist Pink Moscato (I very seldom drink moscato unless I have dessert, but I wanted something cheap tonight), nice way to close the day.

And as always, drink responsibly, everyone!

Something that I posted on my old Instagram page as well as my blog. Hope you like it.

What better way to end the Summer season than this little tropical concoction that’ll make Jimmy Buffett smile. I call it Summer’s End, more than likely Webtender has a mix similar to this, but if it doesn’t, here’s the ingredients, hope you like ’em!

First, you’re gonna need two shakers:

Shaker #1:

2 oz. Rum

2 oz. Vodka

2 oz. Gin

Chopped strawberries and orange wedges inside.

Shaker #2:

2 oz. Orange Juice

2-3 oz. Cranberry Juice

One orange slice for garnishment.

Shake both shakers simultaneously and pour both into a tall glass. Enjoy!

Makes 1-2 servings.

And remember to drink responsibly as always!

Please detonate responsibly: think of the wildlife. it scares them too, not just your dogs and cats. Credit for fireworks portion of photo to Nigel Howe. The EXIF data is for his portion of the shot, not the eagle.

Endorsed by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. This brand of tequila is the smoothest one yet! For years I was not a tequila fan (yet I drank margaritas for decades now), but as I got older my tastes for alcohol has changed a lot. Years ago, cognac, rum, vodka were my spirits of choice (this was back in the 1990s), and I’m beginning to get into spirits like gin, tequila, and my top favourite, scotch whiskey (I’ve always referred to Scotch as the “pastime of the gods”), but that’s just my take on it. But I’m just expanding my taste buds as far as spirits (liquors, that is) are concerned. A huge majority of liquors I have had mixed with something, but I very seldom had most of them by themselves which I’m begging to appreciate more of. So after leaving my comfort zone, my tastes in spirits have expanded as of late. But I’m loving tequila, very smooth, made from agave plants, and I’ve had some rough tequilas, but this was by far the best of them all! And it ain’t cheap either! But again, the smoothness of it speaks for itself. If you haven’t tried it yet, I guarantee that you’ll love this drink. I endorse this drink, and as always, DRINK RESPONSIBLY!

Valencia County, New Mexico USA

I’m not much of a drinker nowadays (which is one of the reasons why I haven’t posted any booze shots as of late). Anyway, the wife and I was recently on a dinner date, and we had a nice steak dinner. I wasn’t gonna drink anything originally, but wifey wanted to have something with our dinners. She had a pineapple mojito, I had a dry martini, shaken, not stirred (sounds familiar, anyone?). It was delicious, the olives made it just as tasty, I think they used Bombay Sapphire (one of the best gins made) and a (very) dry vermouth. I used to make these religiously back in the day (mostly vodka) , but those days are long gone for me, and I’m cool with that, y’all. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves. And as always, drink responsibly! One last thing, the beverage on the left is a mix of ginger ale and cranberry juice.

Gracie wanted to wish you all a Happy St. Patricks Day, and to tell you to please drink responsibly!

As the sounds of Riverfest pass through the hills of South Covington, Kentucky I spend some time relaxing on my deck with a Blatz. Inspired by North American Corona commercials which showcased Corona beer, beaches, and girls, I decided to use Blatz to showcase a different perspective of relaxing with a beer in America's Mid-West..

The Tillsonburg Station Arts Centre, built inside two historic train stations, may take the route less travelled when it comes to local art centres but it’s just that willingness to take a risk that keeps them right on track and continues to pull new members and visitors in every year.

In short, it’s all about highlighting local talent and combining the new vibrancy of the town with its storied history of resiliency. Want to skip ahead? No problem!

The Baggage Room Gift Shop

Within cozy exhibit spaces, The Station Arts Centre’s history and built heritage truly shine. When you first walk into “The Station” as it’s affectionately referred to by locals, you’ll be in a cream-coloured brick building that was built by The Great Western Railway in 1879. The town’s first station, it was just a short walk away from hotels, the town’s Market Square and a large residential area.

If you take a left when you walk in, you’ll pass through The Baggage Room Gift Shop (named that because it was, you guessed it, the former baggage room) and into a members’ exhibit space which was the historic waiting area.

Built in a Gothic Revival Style, you’ll notice many elements of the Church worked into the architecture including narrow windows with pointed tops, stained glass and a floor plan shaped like a cross.

In the 1980s, this heritage building was taken over by the Tillsonburg District Craft Guild and restored to be used as an arts centre.

The second station was added onto the first in the 90s as the Craft Guild expanded. Built in 1896, this station was formerly knowns as the Tillsonburg, Lake Erie and Pacific Railway Station and was in use until 1958 under its later name, The Canadian Pacific Railway.

In its day, this railway acted as a means to transport people as well as express packages along the line from Tillsonburg to Port Burwell. It also worked to transport coal to Port Burwell, a major destination and was also used to transport war materials during WWII from Livingston’s, a factory in town.

While responsibly walking our dog through the neighborhood this week, my husband and I have noticed children’s chalk art of rainbows all over the sidewalks, and around the world, children are putting up drawings and paintings of rainbows in their windows as a way to bring cheer. So I thought I’d share a rainbow image of my own in lower Yosemite Falls during a wet spring last year, as the sun was cresting over the granite peaks. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!

Oh, the Irony!

Spending 6 days, and 7 Nights camping in Rodanthe, N.C. can be pretty brutal when you have no shelter from the sun. Our tent would trap heat and was almost always hot, so laying below the waterfront campsite's picnic table was our only hint of shade that we could really get.

I came back from a walk to find Tyler well hydrated, and passed out under the table. I took advantage of the situation and took a few shots with a Nikon SB-600 Speedlight behind him from the other side of the picnic table.

Hello my friends. Owing to a very busy work schedule that lays ahead of me, prior to my upcoming travel, I will be resting a bit from Flickr. It does not mean that I will quit totally, but I can only afford to be on and off. I try and keep up to date with as many of you as possible, but if you miss me, you know why.

Surely if I finish my work soon enough, I will be back.
