"Rule of Thirds & 3”
This addition to a crossing signal control made me smile. I hope 2024 is good to everyone, everywhere. The world at large needs a reset, and for any of us that need a reset in a big or small way, here's an arbitrary chance to have a go at it. Happy New Year to all my Flickr friends. May 2024 bring good things to you and yours.

The reset button at the back of my Palm TX. I still carry around my old Palm everywhere with me despite 1.75 years of having my iPhone 3GS, because I haven't gotten round to transferring everything over ... old contacts and memos.
Had to hunt around to find a suitable reset button. They are getting so unobtrusive these days ... no more red reset button.
Taken with iPhone 3GS with a home-made macro lens from a disposable camera.
Entry for Macro Monday February14th: "Metaphor".
Now that the vandals and thieves have done their work, the reset button will never be used again....
Zeiss Ikon Ikoflex 1b
The filmtransport of the Ikoflex 1b has a very peculiar design and can fool you if you use it for the first time without operating instructions.
When you loaded the camera with a new film the Winderknob (see red arrow) can be turned on and on. This is necesarry to reach the "1" symbol on the back of the film as seen through the red window in the bottom of the camera.
After that depress the Framecounter Resetbutton (see green arrow) and turn it ccw until it locks. You have to press it as deep as it goes !
Now you should see the nr 1 in the framecounter window.
However there could be special occasions when you will find yourself in trouble i.e. a mid-roll filmchange.
The Film Lock could be engaged.
In this case you have to cock the shutter, press the shutterbutton and keep it depressed while turning the Winderknob till the Framenumber 12 has passed. After that follow the same procedure as with a new filmroll.
First motherboard I've ever owned with its own built-in Reset and Power buttons. Made the build much easier, as I didn't have to hook up the power button / reset button / harddrive led until I was sure everything was working. You can also see the 2 digit error code display to the right -- this is how they get away with not including a PC speaker. It's actually a much more demonstrative way to display a boot-up error. Of course I still wanted a PC speaker, so I gutted an old computer for one. Then I found out that was a computer that had been functional since 1991 -- upgraded so many times that 0 of the original parts remained. But it had the soul of a 286, and I killed it. R.I.P. Mist. Maybe your computer name will be used again in the 2020s or something.

BACKSTORY: Building my new computer! We decided to name it Thailog. Thailog ("Goliath" spelled backwards) is the evil twin of Goliath from the cartoon Gargoyles. Carolyn's computer is named after Goliath, so it just makes sense that Clint's computer is the evil twin of Carolyn's computer. A quick summary of the computer's specs is: Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz with an Arctic Freezer I30 cooler on a ASRock X99 WS EATX motherboard with 24G of Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 2400mHz RAM, a Radeon R9 270 video card, and a Crucial M500 240GB M.2 SSD...all inside a massive NZXT Phantom 820 case. It was a $1560 build, summarized on my blog at clintjcl.wordpress.com/2015/03/06/journal-hardware-purcha...
Where I do not advocate the fiddling of knobs and switches inside an abandonment, this building is fairly trashed. I was sure it was safe.

** The Best Of 2010 **
Not literally, of course. But sometimes, more often than people think, the reset button is the best approach.
I liked making this Keep Calm the best. I couldn't find a source SVG for the on/off button, so I made one and put it on Wikimedia Commons.
The font was initially Century Gothic but I messed with it a bunch to recreate the hand-drawn feel of the original.
Life has been very hectic feeling for the past couple of days and feels hectic when I look ahead to the rest of my week. If I could push the "Reset" button and begin again, I might try to figure out what I could let go of and what I really need to do. Then again, how do you decide what to forgo when everything you're doing is either fun or necessary?
AZL PARKSTAD HEERLEN, 1990-1995. Wiel Arets, architect.
"He discovered his reset button early on & there were not many things that bothered him all the rest of his days just because of that." -Story People
Thought I would have a go at some Story People themed shots. I sometimes wish I had a reset button.
Hold the resetbutton for the km-counter (odometer) in and turn ignition to II, hold button in for about 10 sec and when servicelight starts to flash drop km-counter at once..DONE.... But dont forget ta change oil and stuff like that now ;-)
Sry dropped the phone once :-)
peering into this metal box, i reflected upon the discarded, forgotten parts.....oooooooh, there have been so many times in my life where i felt like that....and longed for a reset button of my very own.....

First off, never break and drive 😂.
Nothing good can come from pushing yourself to complete exhaustion without allowing your body ample amount of time to recharge.
Ideally one 5-10 minute break should be taken every hour while studying. This allows enough time to refresh your mind and replenish your creative problem solving skills.
