This is Duckis. He was found by the shelter. When found, we figure he was hit by a car or abused. He had a long wound on his back maggots inside the wound. He has come a long ways but still has a ways to still go.

Be kind to animals.... Just saying.

Sometimes ya just gota post a picture of Tucker

I got a firmware update the other day and have been practicing with it. The update was for eye tracking to make it faster to detect and focus. The trick is to NOT watch the square and to JUST watch your subject to keep it in frame. I thought a black dark subject like my Boy here would be a good test. What do you think?

I had no idea she was drooling and blowing bubbles until I came in to look at the pictures. I took treats out with me so she would stay still.....I had to laugh, she was very still and well behaved as she salivated waiting for her treat! This is SO her! My little, eleven year old rescue dog. She bring so much joy to my life as all pets do.

My Daughters Beautiful Rescue Dog / My Companion and a Hero

My Daughter s New Rescue Dog, So loving and gentle, We call her Freyja The Flyer as she can jump really high and is a fast runner, She is a true joy ,

We met Ziggy this morning whilst walking along the coast. She's a rescue from Romania and was so, so friendly. And it is because of her beautiful and unusual eyes that she got her name

The snow we had last weekend seems to be staying now. It's been highs of about -15c for the past week. This is much earlier than usual for winter, but Aggie is embracing it.

Hello beautiful

Off with Runyon to Swift Run Dog Park (near the intersection of Platt and Ellsworth and across the street from Lillie Park). Pictures from the mild morning of Thursday January 12th, 2023.

Continuing on the theme of "how did my puppy get this big"?

This chair is apparently the best dog spot in the cabin. Perfectly situated next to a window with good squirrel viewing options. And often with a donut dog bed on it. The only problem is that it is not quite big enough for Fred.

I adopted Mimi at our county animal shelter yesterday. She is 8 years old and very sweet. I'm sure there will be many more pictures of her to come. I'll be catching up more on Flickr as she settles in here. Spent a long time at the shelter yesterday, looking at all the dogs and then waiting to complete the adoption process. :-)

iPhone doggie portrait, edited in Snapseed.

Pictures of my beloved Catahoula mix dog, Runyon. Taken over a variety of days in November 2022. He is getting close to four years old. I am just glad that he is part of our family.

Beagle Extraordinaire

Turkish Rescue Dog

I wish I had taken this picture a few days earlier, as these gorgeous blossoms are already almost gone... Still lovely though.

Romanian Rescue Dog

Went snowshoeing with a friend and her two dogs. I'm in love with this little one!

I'd like you to meet my friend, Willis, who has been to visit a couple of times. I look forward to more visits as dogs are very important to me and we're not allowed to have pets in our condominium.

"Women's Best Friend"

Aggie does have the best eyes. I love that she is now confident enough to stare directly into the camera.

Turkish rescue Dog

This is Ruby who I met whilst we were visiting a tourist attraction in Cornwall. I was sat on a bench waiting for Phill and her owner was sitting waiting for his wife. We got chatting and I found out that Ruby is a dachshund/terrier cross. They found her as a five month old puppy roaming the streets of Turkey and couldn't get her out of their minds when they returned to England. They made contact with someone who they knew back in Turkey to track her down and then paid a vast fortune to get everything she needed done to get her over here where she now lives a life of luxury - lucky Ruby

All good things happen in the kitchen.

Meet Royal, our new rescue Standard Poodle

Every year I challenge myself to get a decent photo of Lina with our Christmas tree. This is the 2020 version!!

It's been a great year. Thank you for all the views.

A little catch-up post of Aggie and Fred on the cabin deck in September.

Words cannot express how much I love her. She has opened up so much since we had her and became more confident, but she remains extra sweet and so so grateful. How such teeny creatures can dig into your heart is just amazing.

Dave: Hey Agnes, what are you watching?

Agnes: Whatever needs watching.

Dave: Oooh, that sounds a little like a tongue twister.

Agnes: Oh boy, I do love a good tongue twister.

Dave: Really? I never pegged you for much a lover of alliterative literature.

Agnes: Nope. Can't say that I am. I'm more a fan of twisting my tongue around treats, sweets and tasty meats.

Dave: Well played. Do you want to hear my tongue twister?

Agnes: Sure.

Dave: The Wagging Dog Watches Whatever is Watched Every Which Way.

Agnes: Nope. I don't like it.

Dave: Really? I thought it was quite clever.

Agnes: Nope. Neither clever nor accurate. I'm not wagging, and it's not a good tongue twister because there's nothing tasty in that sentence.

Dave: I never looked at it that way.

Agnes: Glad to enlighten you. Now, lets try it again more focusing on the tasty than the trivial.

Agnes is probably our best watch dog. She likes to keep an eye on everything, and often tells us whenever there is activity on the street.

A miss understanding over a ball ended up with five stitches for Elf. She healed well and is ready for more adventures.

More from Aggie and Fred playing with the new hulk toy on the deck.

Aggie's expression here seems to be the canine equivalent of "can you believe this guy?"
