Thrift store are one of my favorite place to go. Even if I don't buy anything.Sadly, this place wasn't open when I was there.
I was way on the outer edge of the hurricane that came through northern Mexico and southern Texas, but I did get some much needed rain and it dropped the temperatures into the 80ies. Nice break from 105.

So this is my new baby which I am so excited about. The last time I had a gacha shop in-world
was so long ago that I can't really remember the date. But then like a week ago I suddenly felt
so inspired to open up again a place where I can sell all my junk and by that, I don't mean me since
I am not that kind of a girl. :P I literally mean all the junk I been collecting throughout the years and
that was sitting somewhere in my inventory collecting dust and spiderwebs. I said time to
try and get rid of these babies so I spent hours and hours dusting every single item and pricing them
and kissing each one good luck in finding a new home.

Empty and decaying store to left and active event center to right. Maysville's Historic District is very mixed. All of the big box stores are miles away on the AA Highway. The businesses left on the riverfront are banks, restaurants, government buildings and resale stores. It's a tough sell to revitalize the "downtown area."

Beginning a new series here from a roll of film found in a discarded camera and offered for resale at ReclaimIt! in Portland Oregon.
It appears as if there were some original images (not mine) on the roll, but evidently someone opened the back without realizing the camera was loaded. The counter had reset to zero. I advanced it a few frames and shot the rest of the roll, not knowing how many frames were left. I wound up with 27 images on the 36exp roll.

Bigger, better, Gacha! Today opens the new Gacha Loft! With lots of new stuff and a nice outdoor area with a beach :)
I bought myself flowers on the way home from work yesterday, and I passed my local resale shop and saw this vase in the window. I had to have, of course. $5
This is a new place, that just opened, and they sell old stuff..:)
I haven't been inside yet. Mainly, because I know it I do, I'll probably buy something..:) That wouldn't be the end of the world, except that I don't have room for anything else. It's a good thing I don't have a garage..:)
The name throws me off. "Life Changes" resale shop. Also, this place is out in the sticks. I'm guessing this is just something they are doing for fun..;)

It's always special to see Sable especially considering that large parts of their habitat has been reduced and it's now very rare to see them in the Kruger.
Like on the reserve where our house is these were bred initially in captivity for resale but then released when the price of all game dropped.
The whole herd came to the waterhole daily.

Here's the last picture for our Conrail SD featurette. Plenty more to come down the road but it is time to get back to other subjects. But first, this 23 May 1993 view of train SETO at CP 285 in East Syracuse with freshly shopped SD40-2R units 6963 and 6974, both products of an in-house rebuilt program of 40 older SD40s including 10 units from the resale market. According to Conrail Cyclopedia the 6963 is the former KCS 602 and went to Norfolk Southern as their 3426, and the 6974 is the former CR 6311 which became CSX 8875.

Every month or so I pick through a bin of slides or negatives and see if there is anything that strikes me as worth saving. These eleven I salvaged in February 2020 for ten cents a piece.
