Elke 30 seconden sterft er een kind aan malaria. Daar moet wat aan gedaan worden. Op de Grote Markt in Groningen draaien Giel Beelen, Gerard Ekdom en Annemieke Schollaardt van 18 t/m 24 december 2009 een week lang plaatjes om geld op te halen voor het Rode Kruis. Dit doen de DJ's in het kader van 3FM Serious Request 2009.

Someone requested Amanda Beauty on Dollshe male bodies so there it is!
The Amanda head is "regular" sized from the original release. I think the one that comes with the OE/EN/SA release is supposed to have a different size (maybe slightly bigger?), but I don't know if anyone has received theirs yet (I know I'm still waiting on my EN Amanda /cry)
The body is from my Arsene, received in January 2018.
The end result is not good as the head (and neck hole) are way too small for this body.
There's requests pasted on the front door to the zoo and the maps handed out on payment of admission fee asking you not to go near the cheetahs. Apparently the four-person crew (the other two zookeepers not in the frame were behind and in front of the cheetahs) are acclimatising the cheetahs for closer contact, later on. Later on after they walked past and were back in their enclosure, I saw that these two cheetahs love playfights. Hmm.
I had a request for this in sepia and decided to use a quick edit here in Aviary to see how it might look.

This really is an old train bridge and is located just above the dam (gas and hydro electric plant is in background).

A campaign to remove visual litter (graffiti and tags) from our streets.

The originator of these tags was caught and punished over a year ago.
For approximately two years his mark has remained upon our streets.
The trouble with tagging and graffiti is it's like over-littered areas and readily gets added to.
"It's there already, so it doesn't matter if I do it!"
We've become so used to seeing it that we stop acknowledging it's presence and start perceiving it as normal and acceptable.
Visual litter will remain as a recurrent and accumulative issue on our streets if it's not removed as quickly as possible by councils, private businesses or the willing community.
It will remain a cyclic issue, perpetuating the degradation of the quality of our community's environment.
Councilors often like to gain political favor by the removal of graffiti, time and time again, without ever addressing the preventative measures of education.

24 hours of it being reported".

The purpose was to digitally document the cultural heritage of Green Gulch Zen Center with the objective of gaining better insight into the Zen Center's cultural history through the use of photographic technology.
Green Gulch Farm Zen Center (Latitude 37.86657, Longitude -122.56528), also referred to as the Green Dragon Temple, is located in Marin County, CA in a beautiful coastal valley overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Green Gulch, approximately a 10 mile drive north of San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge, is located on 115 acres surrounded by hundreds of acres of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Green Gulch is a cultural heritage site constituting of one of the three centers that form the San Francisco Zen Center founded by Shunryu Suzuki Roshi [1]. In 1972, Green Gulch was purchased from George Wheelwright, co-founder of Polaroid, as a part of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi's vision to obtain a farm near the San Francisco Bay area where a community of Zen Buddhist practitioners could communally live and practice in accompany of one another [2] [3]. Part of the Wheelwright's stipulation of the sale to the San Francisco Zen Center was that the farm must forever remain open to the public, as well as partake in agricultural awareness [4]. Green Gulch now serves as a Buddhist practice center in the Japanese Soto Zen tradition, were their endeavor is to awaken the people residing, working, and visiting the center in the bodhisattva spirit-the spirit of kindness and realistic helpfulness [1]. Green Gulch is compromised of a temple (the Zendo), organic farm and garden, guesthouse, and conference center. The center offers training and practice in Zen mediation through workshops and retreats, as well as apprenticeships emphasizing meditation practice, Buddhist teachings, and organic gardening and farming methods [5].
Photographs in this collection were captured on Sunday April 24, 2011, between 11:30 AM and 2:15 PM Pacific Time, under sunny conditions. Nixon D80 and two-Canon XSI cameras were used. A tripod was used for HDR shots. The photos were post-processed in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.
