A small temporary radio studio (called "Het Glazen Huis") in the centre of Eindhoven, during the 2010 edition of the fundraising event Serious Request.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

When I first came across these buses, I was puzzled, they appeared to have been fitted with ECW bodies (note window pans, cab signalling window and general profile) only they weren't. How could they at that time, 1952, ECW only built bodies for nationalised concerns.
It was only in later life I found out they were actually manufactured by Northern Coachbuilders, who had recruited someone from ECW, to join their design team.

I got an email from Austin Monthly back in March requesting to use one of my photos for their main article in the May issue titled, "110 Fun things to do in the summer." Here it is! I took the photo on a trip through the Hill Country. We accidently stumbled across a steel Longhorn while traveling on Hwy 290, going from Fredericksburg to Austin. After turning the car around, we found a small plaque near the longhorn that had an arrow pointing to a desolate farm road. The sign read, "This way to Benini Sculpture Ranch." What an adventure! The unpaved road led us through miles of private land filled with cows and bulls! We thought someone was going to jump out in the middle of the road with a chainsaw. What seemed like a bad idea, after traveling through several miles without seeing one single vehicle or human being, turned out to be one of the best discoveries. The ranch has sculptures that remind me of the works of Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. If you are an existentialist or admire surrealism, you will enjoy the ranch. You won't find anything like it and getting there is an adventure.

Kyle and Alec requested me to do a photo shoot of their robot, which I kindly complied. This robot is the best performing robot this year, but unfortunately failed to win the race due to a series of unforeseen problems (just like my robot, Gadget).
