This squatting squirrel can thank troop 76 for this lovely home built for birds. Repurpose.

We passed along the south edge footprint of the former fort, appreciating the floral-embellished embankments

To all who visit and view, and – especially – express support and satisfaction: you are much appreciated!

A mill has been on the site near a dam across the river since 1810, a half-century before the village of Neshanic Station on the other side of the river was established with the coming of the Central Railroad of New Jersey. The original structure was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in 1876 and much later repurposed as a private home with 4 bedrooms and an open floor plan

A final draw to the Neshanic Mill is the pieces of history left behind throughout the home. Artifacts such as pulleys, a grain elevator, and tracking for grain bags are integrated into the home as a reminder of the mill’s long history and past functions.

Museum Garage facade by Spanish firm Clavel Arquitectos’s Urban Jam draws from the rebirth of urban life in the Miami Design District - where old structures and discarded spaces have been revived by architectural and urban designs.

Urban Jam suggests a similar “repurposing” of very familiar elements, using 45 gravity-defying car bodies rendered in metallic gold and silver. In effect, the styles of years past gain a second life as lux sculptural objects, caught in a surreal vertical traffic jam.

Former MARC GP40WH-2 69 now toils for [CSX] as their 9969, powering the Geometry Train. I wish more of those things were still running around.

The MK-rebuild of New York Central GP40 3051 actually looks good in the [CSX] "paint scheme".
