A photo from my archives.
I thought about reaching out and turning the croc slightly toward me to improve the photo but then I didn't. I still have all of my arms and legs.
An iguana at the critter house. At the Leslie Science and Nature Center. Ann Arbor, Michigan. June 30th, 2012.
I love science fiction. I have always wanted to play an alien creature on a show like Farscape, Star Wars or Stargate SG-1. This is probably the closest I will ever come to being in costume. I call this the Reptile Queen.
I used free downloaded PhotoShop brushes for some of the effects. Here are the links if you are interested. I made the reptile skin myself from one of my Crocodile photos.

This five foot snake was in our backyard. I think it may be an extremely big prairie garter snake, but I'm not sure. We have a creek in our backyard, but I don't think it's a water snake of any kind.
A handsome male angle head lizard (Gonocephalus grandis). More tropical reptiles and amphibians here: orionmystery.blogspot.com/2012/12/tropical-reptiles-amphi...
From my archives. A dead tree stump in the canal at Wilwood Park became known as the Snake Stump since for a few years it was used as a nest site by Northern Water Snakes. One morning as I was passing by the stump I noticed this pair of Northern Water Snakes entwined in a very romantic embrace. Eventually one of the snakes retreated into the hollow cavity in the stump, and the other snake stretched out in a sunny spot on the stump. Even snakes have their romantic moments! Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Leguan seen in an exhibition in Sibiu, Romania.
The photo was taken through glass, so I was quite pleased with the result.
What I didn't like was the very small space for the poor little guy. We can only hope that it was only for the duration of the exhibition - I think two weeks - and that normaly this guy would have had more room to move around.
They probably shouldn't be kept captive at all really.
The saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), also known as saltie or estuarine crocodile, is the largest of all living reptiles, as well as the largest terrestrial and riparian predator in the world.
This saltie is swimming in a relaxed mode, claws floating on the surface, soaking up the first morning sun in Australia's Kakadu National Park.
