Last year, it was so sad to see the christmas tree launched out of the window that we kept all of its needles and put them in a jar to wean ourselves off Christmas. 12 months later, it seems we, erm, forgot to get rid of it, so here it is, meeting its replacement, accompanied by Olive.

Intersection of Arden and Errol Streets, North Melbourne. Decades-old AWA signals finally succumb to the LED replacement program and new Aldridge signals were installed at this location. This mast had original AWA signals until the recent replacement. Note the arrangement of the new signals on the overhead mast similar to the original.
This was a duo-tone piece before the second round of paste came off. It was inspired by an alpine flower book and a Steampunk sensibility. The contours of the shoulder and the swirls of the flower harmonize with the circular gears. For any young neo-Victorian lady looking for an stylish plate armor upgrade!

The crane came and removed two HVAC units, replacing them with new, more efficient units. The front unit is 10-ton, and the rear unit 90-ton.

One of the stretcher bars on our pop-up gazebo broke in two, so I fashioned a replacement from a piece of copper pipe I had in the shed.
The sky was completely washed out - this is my first attempt at sky replacement. The trees caused some trouble with haloing so I place clouds behind them and feathered the replacement.
Still looks a little obvious to me. This may not be the best candidate for sky replacement - any pointers would be appreciated
I stumbled across some carpenter ants storing some larvae in section 3. We called the bug guy, who said they had just arrived. Probably trying to find 'higher ground' after all of the rain.
The new fence is DONE!
We just have some finishing work left: Put up the rest of the lattice and stain it. It looks so much better than the old one, don'tcha think? :)

Arvada Concrete Driveway Replacement
Denver Concrete Inc. was hired to tearout this Arvada concrete driveway, the previous driveway was falling and cracking very badly. The homeowner wanted to replace these concrete driveway with the traditional concrete driveway that would outlast the previous. Our crew went to work demolishing the previous driveway which took altogether about one day to complete. In this project we also replace the front sidewalk and front stoop.

FN09AOF arriving at Royston on a rail replacement service from Cambridge on 9 June 2013. I have found nothing on the interweb to say who operates this vehicle, which was new to Doig of Glasgow, but I think it may have been recently acquired by the Dew Ron Ron.
