Here are my two different techniques for creating a repeat pattern, using drawings from my previous line study. I wanted to start understanding how I could develop my drawings into potential printed surface pattern designs, employing commonly used techniques to create successful and attractive repeat patterns.
I feel that the patterns I produced are very promising, and have potential to become refined outcomes with the application of mark making, colour and texture.

This picture was taken near Rampart Creek off of Highway 93 in Alberta.
The vertical structure on the mountain is apparently a radio repeater tower.
The stretch of highway between Lake Louise and Jasper has no cellphone coverage so emergency services and park services depend on these towers to maintain communication with each other.
Sweet Repeats is returning to regular business hours and extended
hours on Friday.
