Live the life you wanna live
Spend the same day on repeat
On repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat
Isolate yourself from me
Spend the same day on repeat
On repeat, on repeat, on repeat, on repeat
Keep on floating through a dream
If this is who you wanna be
Wanna be, wanna be, wanna be, wanna be
Trying to serve, afraid to see
On the run from something real
Something real, something real
On repeat

Dedicated to Cleide for her birthday :-)
More conventional, this shot, but at F8 more is in good focus. I am celebrating these marvellous tree peony blossoms with my photography. They are big (the size of the human face) and interesting (like a human face) and they won't last for much longer.

Please excuse my furry friends in this one, they wouldn't hold still for a 6 second exposure. Selfish.
It's Friday! And I'm off work 😊 Hooray!
HFF.
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FAVES

Good to have the Baltimore Orioles return. Something we can look forward to every spring. This male was out enjoying the pleasant weather.

I almost always process in Photoshop, but this one was done in Lightroom - thanks RT for inspiring me to take the plunge!
Missed this a few days earlier, luckily it re-ran twice in the same week on the lovely midday through Robertson path, perfect for trains heading south in winter.

I wish this van was parked somewhere else and in better light when I photographed it, but what can you do? I love these old VW vans. I’ve had my eye on this one for a while, and it’s actually for sale at the moment... I met the owner today, and she’s a very cool person (of course she is!). She’s a fellow redhead and sings in a band called Sly Violet. I liked her immediately.
We bought her CD and listened to it on the way home from the cottage. Great stuff! We also listened to this song on repeat. It’s one of my top picks for summer 2019.

Back in August of this year I took the same exact shot of 867 heading north here, albeit it was about 70 degrees warmer!!!
Some of you may remember that I did a Bokeh Madness series at the end of last year ("7 days of Bokeh Madness"). I certainly won't be able to repeat that as I have too much on my plate at the moment, but a little bokeh party here and there in the course of the next few days / weeks might lift my spirits a little ... so here we go : ))
Happy Bokeh Madness Sunday

whippoorwill, (Caprimulgus vociferus), nocturnal bird of North America belonging to the family Caprimulgidae (see caprimulgiform) and closely resembling the related common nightjar of Europe. It is named for its vigorous deliberate call (first and third syllables accented), which it may repeat 400 times without stopping. It lives in woods near open country, where it hawks for insects around dusk and dawn; by day it sleeps on the forest floor or perches lengthwise on a branch. About 24 cm (9 1/2 inches) long, it has mottled brownish plumage with, in the male, a white collar and white tail corners; the female’s tail is plain and her collar is buffy.
