Romans 12:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The completely renewed locomotive 77 002 by Express Service is already on duty on the Rhodope narrow gauge line! We have waited to see the locomotive in operation for quite a long time. It was ready and transferred in Septemvri depot in March 2022, but due to some administrative hiccups, its commissioning was delayed quite a bit. After all, about a month ago, the locomotive was put into operation, with a new number - 77 102, and since then it has been tirelessly and without any problems serving trains on the narrow gauge. The modernization of the locomotive which has been manufactured in Romania in the 80s was carried out by the Express Service workshop in Ruse, Bulgaria. In practice, only the frame and bogies are used from the old locomotive. Cabs and the body shells were removed and re-build using brand new materials. The loco is equipped with electronic controls and also with a brand new Caterpilar diesel engine with EU stage 5 standard.
On the photo 77 102 is seen on train 1661, between the stations of Yakoruda and Belitsa, near Dagonovo stop /15 October 2022/

I updated my head to Catwa HDPRO, and could not be happier. There are so many more options of tweaking and adjusting in these new and modern heads. It took me quite some time to get the look "right", so it feels like 'me', but now finally there.

We've gotten so much rain lately, that, between the rain and high heat, I've been pretty much homebound. Keeping myself contented by going through the archives and processing photos that I didn't like enough the first time around... :)
Under the Wings of our Female Dropwing here's a view across Lake Titiwangsa - with renewed fountain - to central Kuala Lumpur. The Petronas Towers and the Menara Kuala Lumpur quite clear in the murky light. To the right the cultural complex of the city including the National Art Gallery, always worth a visit.

The Union Pacific had recently merged with the Missouri Pacific and Western Pacific, giving the D&RGW and SP a renewed freight hauling partnership that lasted until the SP merged with the UP in 1996.

CN AC44C6M #3308 leads train 148 on February 17, 2023 through London Ontario at CN McLeod. 3308 is formerly GE C44-9W #2570, having been rebuilt last year at Wabtec in Fort Worth, TX as one of the first units in the new program at CN. The locomotives retain the nose light, however have lost the unique "teardrop" style cab windows. However, these units can still have their heritage easily identified by the slimmer radiator section at the rear. The goal of the program is to re-vitalize older locomotives that still feature direct current, and convert them to use alternating current.
The tail end of this train featured another object of interest, that being CN's newly acquired ex-WMSR nee-GN "Ocean View" dome car. The car currently resides in North Bay at the ONR shops for refurbishing.
