I setup our XTi on our Gorillapod with a 430EXII pointed at the ceiling. I set the shutter to 'bulb' and did my best to time things out using a wired remote.

I went and got m'self a remote for the camera, and decided to splurge. Near as I can tell, this remote is ALL POWERFUL!
The arduino is running the example Blink script - you can see the little on-board LED blinking away. That same pin is wired through to the tiny45 on the breadboard. It's controlling the orb - keeping it in time to the arduino.
