This was a project to pass a rainy day. We could not go out, so my dad and I built this remote switch for my rebel XT. I got the rescipe on line. Consists of two SPST momentary switches, one SPST toggle switch, a four conductor telephone cable, and a 3/32 " stereo jack. The red momentary is the shutter release. The black is for focus. The toggle switch would be used for BULB exposures. Cost me $19 for the materials and about 2 hours in labor. Why did I do it? I wanted to spend time with my dad and projects are just about the only way to get him to stay still.
Mary Ellen Hall and her husband, Keith, drove to the Remote Area Medical at the Wise Coutry Fairgrounds on Friday from Church Hill, Tennessee. The couple arrived Thursday evening and slept on an air mattress under the stars in the back of their pickup truck to make sure they could get the dental work they both needed.

REVOLUTIONARY WAR VETERAN TO REST AT
LEE COUNTY COURT HOUSE AFTER CEREMONY
SANFORD -- Revolutionary War veteran Jacob Gaster, who was captured by the British and survived being held on a prison ship near Wilmington, will rest at the Lee County Court House after a public ceremony on Apr. 29 honoring his contribution to American independence.
Before his reinterment, Gaster's grave was located in a remote area of what is now SouthPark, an industrial park being developed along Highway 87 in south Sanford.
As the only known and documented veteran who fought on the Patriot side and was buried in what is now Lee County, his remains are being moved to honor his contribution to creating a new nation. It's something his family wanted.
"I'm glad it's being done. All of the Gasters feel this way," says Marvin Gaster, a descendant. "It gives his grave a more prominent place, so that people will learn about him."
Jacob Gaster was part of a militia company in 1781, when his unit was surprised by British scouts. One soldier was killed, one was wounded and five, including Jacob, were captured.
They were marched to Wilmington and kept in a stockade before being moved to the ship. While on board, another member of the group, Capt. Daniel Buie, died.
Jacob was released as part of a prison exchange, a few months after his capture, and returned home. Early the next year, he joined another militia company led by brother Henry Gaster Jr., and served for another three months.
After the war, Jacob served nine terms in the North Carolina General Assembly and survived until 1855, when he died at the age of 90.

So, I bought this shirt because I thought it would look really cute over black jeans. Then I realized it was meant to be a night shirt. Now I'm trying to decide if I'll look like I forgot to get dressed if I wear it out of the house.
Merry Christmas to all! I hope everyone has a lot of fun with family. Be sure to enjoy the wonderful holiday, i know i'm going to! Hah
Now, it's time to get ready to party. New years day is next in line baby! :)
