Who remembers these?!
The Y36 started life with some Wright thingies which had a one-piece door, and I can't remember id they were 'big' buses like the Renown or little like a Cadet or something. It was also numbered 36 and painted orange at the front, which I believe NCT had something to say about. Soon enough the route number changed, and then so did the colour.
I do remember that on the first day of Dunn Line 36 operation, no fares were charged at all!
Here is the Renown in the short-lived but fairly pleasing orange and plum livery which I had to look at a picture to get it right (and still couldn't work out the size of the bus!)
The Wrights were replaced by Pointer Darts, with a Plaxton President and possibly even a Palatine Oly appearing now and again. Then in 2011 the Citaros came and Yourbus became a bit dull.
Remember Fukushima
On the third anniversary of the tragic events following the tsunami and the resulting nuclear disaster in Fukushima, Greens/EFA MEPs carried out a symbolic action to remember the disaster and its victims at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
This followed a press conference with Naoto Matsumura, the last man living in the forbidden zone of Fukushima, hosted by green MEPs Sandrine Bélier and Michele Rivasi.

Tiger Swallowtail from my yard back when we had sunshine and warm weather!
Snow predicted for today and then bitter cold coming...
There are sights that seem like home, I suppose. Particular representations of half-made memories. Late spring in the sunlight, lay back and dream. Lupines are a successful species on the grassy shoulders of my homeland highways. You can drive just about anywhere and see them in their millions, shimmering in shades of white, pink, and purple. I'm not much for cultivated flowers. What I crave is unbound beauty in weeds and what grows wild. It's hopeless thinking you could restrain it. In the brilliant blur of a too-bright sun, I watch for where the road turns off and takes me places I haven't planned to go. Exit 23 to Deep Brook or Bear River, a drop in speed so I'll remember to slow up and look a little. Like everything this season, it leaves in a rush. I honestly prefer when changes come in the other direction, the undressing of autumn, sifting gently to the floor. But I leave some space in my mind for spring. Life can't be about dying all the time.

I'm outta here for a while. I'll check in when I can, but I doubt it will be often.
Try to stay out of trouble, PACpeeps.
Miss me!
Tove Jansson was born in 1914, Moomins "little" later.
She was the real Moomin mother and she is more popular than ever. Moomins as well. :-)

If you still read hard copy newspapers, take them to your local animal shelter...I know we use quite a bit! Here Zappa helps me clean all the litter pans. Thanks, baby girl!

At a formative stage in my career, I was seconded to Transit Holdings' new Docklands Minibus operation. Here, we see Ford Transit 257 (E197 BDV) decorated for a new service launch whilst colleagues erect a bus stop flag.
Into my heart an air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.
