Some gave all, all gave some. We shall remember.

It all began at around 3.40am on August 31st 1888, when a carter named Charles Cross was making his way along Bucks Row Whitechapel, when he noticed a bundle lying in a gateway.

I grew up in Brooklyn and I probably saw the World Trade Center almost every day.
This is the only good photo I have of the Twin Towers.
I just wish I could forget the jacket.

Built in 2012, this one-of-a-kind 9/11 Memorial features a twisted piece of steel “floating” in the center, 30 tons of American granite as the towers, and a bright eternal flame at its base.

This was my first ever real photo pass for a concert! WOW, what an experience... Easily one of the best days of my life! And especially having my first pass be for such a huge tour with these four huge bands was insane! A Day To Remember, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low, and The Wonder Years put on easily the best show I've ever been to!

The photograph shows the village of Pali and its harbour, on the volcanic Dodecanese Greek island of Nisyros in the Aegean Sea. In the background the island of Gyali, also volcanic, and beyond that, on a clearer day one would make out the south coast of Kos.
On our 1,000 mile sailing trip from Croatia to Turkey we had decided to stop off and tie up on the town quay in Pali (we are the third boat from the right) on Nisyros to rest-up for 24 hours as we had heard the island was home to a currently active (but not erupting) volcano, which might be worth checking out.
What we found and loved about Nisyros was that it was the most friendly, hospitable place one could imagine.
Following arrival we walked into the village for a spot of lunch at the local taverna and after consuming a satisfying selection of Greek antipasto and a plate of freshly caught, deep fried squid in batter we enquired about where we could hire a car in order to visit the volcano. Without any hesitation the Patrons of this wonderful establishment offered us the use of their own car, and declined to take a penny for it. Where else in the world one would find this kind of hospitality is difficult to know.
However, in an effort to repay this kindness the "crew" returned to the taverna that evening for more food and in the course of the evening, along with many friendly locals, virtually drank the place dry of every type of Greek alcoholic beverage known to man.
What a day, what a night! End result, 24 hours that is still fresh in the memory many years later.

That is one of my favourite poems.
R.I.P to all soldiers British, Allied or our enemies. Because all the enemys dead should be remembered too. Because they we're just ordinary men exactly like all the allied troops, they loved the same things and probably shared similar beliefs.I think that is well illistrated in the fact they played football together on Christmas, and for one day they were just men, not nationalities, being men and enjoying themselves side by side. I don't believe your nationality has any effect on the type of person you are, wether you are good or bad, most people want peace and just to lead an ordinary happy life. Neither sides soldiers want what happened.
Today makes me think of the conflicts in Afghanistan and between Isreal and Palestine, and i just wish they could find some way of comprimise, no more people need to die.
I got my film back from boots today :)
This isn't the best but obviously it holds a paticular relevance to today.
I will try to find out the location of this field because its actually incredible, poppies as far as the eye can see. I know it somewhere between Poole and Bristol.

Remember always these men who gave their lives for us in the great war 1914 - 1919
Today marks the 25th anniversary of the bombing of the Marine barracks
in Beirut. Not a lot of individuals take the time to think how this was
one the most devastating acts of terrorism in the world prior to 9/11.
241 Marines Soldiers and Sailors lost their lives that horrible morning
at 644am when a 19 ton truck carrying the equivalent of 2000lbs of tnt
in the back of it drove thru the compound and into the barracks.
I think today has been one of the wettest days ever in Southampton............
This picture taken less than two weeks ago has cheered me up from the gloom.
I hope it does the same for you.
Please remember the tragic shooting that happened yesterday on December 14, 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut. 20 children were killed and were 6 adults were killed. The children all had futures, as said by Barack Obama, and would have went on to do great things. A lot of them were probably excited for the holidays only to have their innocent lives cut short by shooter. The parents dropped their kids off and they soon find out they are killed by someone crazy. Now they are in pain and will forever mourn the loss of their children.
Please remember this innocent people who had great lives ahead of them, and the teachers that gave their time to helping kids grow and learn.
Something needs to be done about gun control laws if shootings like this happen every week. One in Oregon, Aurora, a Sikh temple, or any of the other shootings: they happen TOO MUCH. There is no need for a person to own a semi-automatic assault rifle or a pistol. They are too dangerous for civilians to own. They need to be regulated so this doesn't happen. And for the excuse of the black market: most shootings happen with legally bought guns.
The 2nd Amendment doesn't mean carry assault rifles and pistols, it originally meant to have a well armed militia in case of danger to the country.
