Doctor Emerson is a bio-chemist and botanist from the California Institute of Technology and the director of the guyaule rubber experiment. He is here shown conferring with a part of his Japanese staff of young evcauee scientests at Plot 4. There are 408 plants in this plot that have been in the ground for ten days.
Thanks to a team of conservation partners – including the Harris Center’s very own citizen scientists! – an undersized culvert on Falls Brook at Hale Hill Road in Swanzey is being replaced with a new, flood-resilient and wildlife-friendly open-bottom arch crossing. This exciting stream restoration project will re-connect more than 20 miles of stream habitat for wild brook trout, dace, and other aquatic wildlife. Here, DES staff relocate fish, turtles, and crawfish during the initial de-watering of the stream prior to construction.

The gardens started as a quarry before becoming a Cemetery in 1829. The final burial was in 1936. 57,774 burials occurred. From the late 1960's to 1972 the vast majority of the monuments were cleared. Many of the cleared memorials were re-erected at the side of the cemetery.

The stormwater basin at the Morley Galleria is going to be moved so they can build more shops. It will also completely block off the bus station. Great work guys!
The two leopards, after giving us all an incredible show, kept on walking out into the field. They were soon enveloped by the tall grasses of the Serengeti.
