Porto Pino è una località posta lungo la costa sud-occidentale della Sardegna. È frazione del comune di Sant'Anna Arresi, in Provincia di Carbonia-Iglesias in Sardegna. È una località turistica frequentata ogni anno da migliaia di turisti, è uno dei centri balneari di riferimento del basso Sulcis (da Carbonia fino a Sant'Anna Arresi).
La spiaggia di Porto Pino è lunga circa 4 chilometri. È tradizionalmente suddivisa in tre porzioni: due distinte spiagge, separate dai ruderi di un molo che anticamente proteggeva un altro canale adduttore, e la zona delle dune di sabbia. La cosiddetta prima spiaggia, ubicata alle spalle dei parcheggi comunali, è lunga 550 metri, ed è formata da sabbia compatta e grigiastra. È la più frequentata dai bagnanti perché fornita di vari servizi turistici. La seconda spiaggia, lunga poco meno di 2 chilometri, è formata da sabbia bianca ed è meno frequentata, salvo nella sua parte iniziale e finale, che risultano più facilmente raggiungibili. È suddivisa amministrativamente tra i comuni di Sant'Anna Arresi e Teulada.
La zona delle dune, o sabbie bianche (Is arenas biancas) è il terzo settore della spiaggia. Lungo circa 1 chilometro, è situato nel territorio comunale di Teulada e si trova all'interno del perimetro del poligono militare di Capo Teulada. L'accesso è consentito solo d'estate. È caratterizzata da dune di sabbia bianchissima prodotte dall'erosione delle rocce del promontorio, da parte dal mare e dagli agenti atmosferici. Sulla cima delle dune cresce una fitta macchia di ginepro coccolone; si trova inoltre la calcatreppola (o eringio marino), l'euforbia, lo sparto. Nonostante le bonifiche, nelle dune è ben nota la presenza di qualche residuato bellico, dovuto alle esercitazioni militari del recente passato.
Portopino is a locality along the southwest coast of Sardinia. It is a hamlet of Sant'Anna Arresi, in the Province of Carbonia-Iglesias in Sardinia. It is a resort frequented by thousands of tourists every year, is one of the seaside resorts of reference Sulcis (by up to Carbonia Sant'Anna Arresi).
The beach of Porto Pino is about 4 km long. It is traditionally divided into three portions: two separate beaches, separated from the ruins of a pier that once protected a different channel inlet, and the area of sand dunes. The so-called first beach, located behind the municipal parking lots, is 550 meters long, and consists of compact sand and gray. It is the most popular with swimmers because of the tourist services provided. The second beach, less than 2 km long, consists of white sand and is less crowded, except in its beginnings and ends, which are more easily accessible. It is administratively divided between the municipalities of Sant'Anna Arresi and Teulada.
The area of dunes, sand or white (Is biancas arenas) is the third area of the beach. About 1 km long, is located in the municipality of Teulada and is located within the perimeter of the military range of Cape Teulada. Access is allowed only in the summer. It is characterized by white sand dunes produced by the erosion of rocks of the headland by the sea and the weather. On top of the dunes grows a thick clump of prickly juniper, is also calcatreppola (ering or marine), euphorbia, esparto. Despite land reclamation, in the dunes is well known that there is some war surplus, due to military exercises in the recent past.
