Enjoying it alone great. Sharing the moment is bliss.

Beauty is a reflection of divine bliss and, since God is Truth, the reflection of His bliss will be that mixture of happiness and truth which is to be found in all beauty.
Forms allow of a direct, 'plastic' assimilation of the truths - or of the realities - of the spirit. The geometry of the symbol is steeped in beauty, which in its turn and in its own way is also a symbol. The perfect form is that in which truth is incarnate in the rigour of the symbolical formulation and in the purity and intelligence of the style.
Beauty mirrors happiness and truth. Without the element of 'happiness' there remains only bare form - geometrical, rhythmical or other - and without the element of 'truth' there remains only a wholly subjective enjoyment or, it might be said, luxury. Beauty stands between abstract form and blind pleasure, or rather so combines them as to imbue veridical form with pleasure and veridical pleasure with form.
Beauty is a crystallization of some aspect of universal joy; it is something limitless expressed by means of a limit.
Beauty is in one sense always more than it gives, but in another sense it always gives more than it is. In the first sense the essence shows as appearance; in the second the appearance communicates the essence.
Beauty is always beyond compare; no perfect beauty is more beautiful than another perfect beauty. One may prefer this beauty to that, but this is a matter of personal affinity or of complementary relationship and not of pure aesthetics. Human beauty, for instance, can be found in each of the major races, yet normally a man prefers some type of beauty in his own race rather than in another; inversely, sometimes affinities between qualitative and universal human types show themselves to be stronger than racial affinities.
Like every other kind of beauty artistic beauty is objective, and so can be discovered by intelligence, not by "taste". Taste is indeed legitimate, but only to the same extent as individual peculiarities are legitimate, that is, just in so far as these peculiarities translate positive aspects of some human norm.
Different tastes should be derived from pure aesthetic and should be of equal validity, just as are the different ways in which the eye sees things. Myopia and blindness are certainly not different ways of seeing - they are merely defects of vision.
In beauty man ’realizes’, passively in his perception and externally in his production of it, that which he should himself 'be' after an active or inward fashion.
When man surrounds himself with the ineptitudes of an art that has gone astray how can he still 'see' what he should 'be'? He runs the risk of 'being' what he 'sees' and assimilating the errors suggested by the erroneous forms among which he lives.
Modern satanism is manifested, no doubt in a very external way but in the most directly tangible way and in the way which makes the greatest inroads, in the unintelligible ugliness of forms. 'Abstracted' people, who never 'see' things, none the less allow themselves to be influenced in their general mental outlook by the forms around them to which they sometimes, with astonishing superficiality, deny all importance, just as though traditional civilizations did not unanimously proclaim the contrary. In this connection the spiritual aesthetics of some of the great contemplatives will be recalled as evidence that, even in a world of normal forms, the sense of the beautiful may acquire a special spiritual importance.

I took this picture years ago with my old "film" camera... remember those??? I always loved this picture because It was the only frame I took and it just happened to work out perfectly ~ If I would have taken this recently, I would have just looked at it right away and taken another one if I didn't like it, but back then I had to actually wait months before it was processed to see if it was any good or not! Oh technology... I have a love-hate relationship with it. I really like seeing people who still use film, I know there are some of you out there....

Sensing it was still a thorny issue with her after all this time. He decided it was best to just drop it altogether.
Love is pure - it has no boundaries... It's full of empathy and joy, it's sincere and has no limits...and as long as you're together facing the same direction - nothing else matters.

Green Orchid Bee (Euglossa dilemma) in flight photographed at the Naples Botanical Gardens in Naples, FL. It is not native to Florida, but introduced from Mexico. Orchids are big business in Southern Florida with growers in cities such as Miami, Homestead, Naples, Marco Island, and Ft. Myers to name a few.
The orchid bees are all members of the family Apidae, and the tribe Euglossini, represented by five genera. Most are about the size of a honey bee, but are brightly colored with an iridescent metallic sheen. Typically, each species of orchid bee has a complex mutualistic relationship with a corresponding orchid in their native range. Orchids will produce scents that attract males of a particular species of bee that is the right size and shape to pollinate them. This relationship is not always chemical; some species of orchid go so far as to produce flowers that physically mimic a female bee as an attractant. Orchids will then affix a pollinarium to the bee which is carried to another orchid of the same species. All orchid bees are native to the New World tropics, from Mexico throughout Central and tropical South America. Specimens of one species of this group, Euglossa dilemma, commonly known as the green orchid bee, were collected in Broward County, Florida in 2003 by entomologists working with the USDA fruit fly monitoring program. This arrival was likely from a nest imported from Mexico concealed within a wooden structure such as a pallet. Originally considered to be Euglossa viridissima; Eltz et al. (2011) found the orchid bees in Florida to be Euglossa dilemma, a newly described cryptic sibling species of Euglossa viridissima.
This photo was taken on the beach where I stayed with my grandfather back in 2008. I always think of (any) relationship as a two way street. You get & you give... And then they can turn into the most rewarding thing in the world 💛
That seems to be the kind of relationship with this perennial weed that belongs in the Asteraceae (Sunflower) family.
A lot of people DISLIKE Valentine’s Day. Oh I’m sure at a time I was one of those people
but to me…Valentine’s Day can almost be like thanksgiving.
Instead though, be thankful for those that love you.
I’m tagging people because I wanted to upload a picture and do something to make others around me smile thinking of those who care about them.
I’m going to list five people. DO WHATEVER YOU’D LIKE
1.I am thankful for my best friends who I have lost connection with lately. Not that they see this necessarily but to Kerralie, Vicki, Sofia and Alexis. You girls have probably gotten me through the most in my life. I am so grateful for you and I think you are all so very beautiful on the inside AND the outside. I want you to know I really want to strengthen our friendships again to the point that they were because you all mean incredible amounts to me.
2.I am thankful for my family. My sister who makes me smile. Her babies who love and cuddle me more than I deserve. My brother who I miss. And my parents who are two of the strongest people I have encountered. There is nothing like making them proud. I love them deeply and wish I told them more often.
3.My new friends. Lately a lot of incredible people have walked into my life. I am so wonderfully, incredibly thankful for Rebekah and Tanner (although you’re not exactly new to me, the amount our friendship has grown in the past year…yeh. I am so lucky to have you). I have never found such encouragement in you both, in anyone else. You trust me and that means the world to me and you have hearts so in love with God. I am beyond proud of both of you beautiful girls.
4.Aaaaah, Austin. What can I even say? I’ve never had a boyfriend care about me with such a godly heart. I’ve never been respected or trusted like you respect and trust me. I don’t think I’ve ever found a personality that matches mine like yours does. Or have ever laughed so ridiculously hard with someone constantly. Most importantly though, the way our relationships with God have been encouraged and refreshed because of this relationship…yeah…I couldn’t be more thankful.
5.But when a bad day hits or the people who I care about disappoint me or hurt me, I know the one love of my life that I can always turn to is my God. My list of thank you’s cannot even be put into a paragraph like this but if I could say one thing, I thank him for these incredible people that he has put in my life today.
So Valentine’s day is almost over for me. However, I want to thank all of you flickr children for your support and kindness. I want to encourage you to think about the people in your life and how they have affected you and changed you forever. And hey, if you really feel like over achieving…go out of your way to thank them today for what they’ve done in your life.
love you all!
a couple of days ago, a friend showed me a beautiful picture he had found, with the same quote over an empty bed. i decided to do my own 'version' of this simple but beautiful quote after googling it and finding even more images containing it.
(...not only for that, but OK.)
p.s. the tree isn't a picture-one was used as a reference, but it's all drawn leaf by leaf.
If yesterday was full of crap doesn’t mean tomorrow it won’t be crappier, but within all these crappy things there will be a moment of happiness, grab that and cherish!
