Non e' mai capitato che Alborosie facesse da padrino e producesse un gruppo reggae italiano. Questo oggi e' accaduto alla Boom Boom Vibration: "I boom boom Vibration mi hanno colpito per la loro semplicita' ed umilta', assomigliano al reggae umile, semplice e profondo allo stesso Tempo. Con loro non ho dovuto spendere parole inutili, tutto e avvenuto naturalmente attraverso quel mistico feeling che ci unisce sotto lo stesso suono. Lavorare con loro mi ha ricordato da dove vengo e dove sto' andando... GraZie boomboom" Alborosie Il disco e' un concentrato di NewRoots allo stato puro, il basso ed il calore della Jamaica oltrepassa le casse dell'hi-fi e arriva direttamente al cuore. Un disco suonato e mixato negli studi di Kingston a casa di Alborosie, un disco che parla del Salento, che parla della nostra attualita', ma che anche ci fa evadere e ci permette un viaggio verso terre incontaminate e spiagge caraibiche. I brani sono nati tra le spiagge di Portmore e di Port Antonio e nella casa di Kingston a Paddington Terrace, ispirati dal profumo della Jamaica, dalle persone incontrate e dai suggestivi luoghi visitati. Amore per la musica e vita vissuta si mescolano con l'attualità denunciando un sistema che mostra sempre più contraddizioni e che può essere colpito al cuore con il messaggio positivo del reggae. L'esperienza in Jamaica ha marcato le liriche e le tematiche in modo indelebile spaziando tra i sentimenti più puri della I-tal flow, caratteristica essenziale per poter comprendere a fondo una cultura dalle antichissime radici. La Jamaica e i jamaicani hanno anche portato la band a prendere un ulteriore decisivo e fondamentale passo: il cambio del nome in Boom Boom Vibration. classe 1989 inizia giovanissimo la sua avventura musicale militando in un sound del suo paese per poi, da tre anni a questa parte, entrare a far parte della famiglia Ena Ghema con cui si inizia a far conoscere in giro per il Salento e anche fuori! Da qui oltre che accompagnare il sound come mc, inizia a produrre in studio delle big tunes che spaziano dal reggae al ragga e all'hip hop; le sue buone capacità vocali e metriche, frutto solo dell'esperienza e della volontà che mette nel seguire questa sua passione, lo fanno notare da molti addetti ai lavori che con le loro critiche e suggerimenti, lo hanno da subito spinto a continuare e a migliorare. Ha calcato molte yard importanti aprendo anche live di artisti di un certo livello come Sud Sound System, Luciano,Turbulence, Daddy Freddy,Brother Culture, Solo Banton ,Deadly Hunta, Treble , Papet Jhali outta Massilia Sound System, Boom Da Bash etc..

The Second International Reggae Poster Contest, 2013 is open for entries for our 2013 edition, The Reggae Poster Contest 2013 from December 26 2012 until March 30 2013.
The best posters will be selected by a jury of design profession and will be published in a catalogue/book with those of 2012 and exhibited.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of the Second International Reggae Poster Contest, 2013, is to continue to build awareness for Reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements of Reggae and its impact on the world. The term Reggae encompasses all the popular Jamaican musical genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and the unique Jamaican Soundsystem. We are looking for your talent and vision and we are very excited to see what designers can come up with in their original poster designs that will capture the energy and vibe of Reggae Music.
The goal is simple: Create a poster about Reggae Music – the rest is up to your imagination. Feel free to explore themes of Reggae covering any one of the genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and the unique Jamaican Soundsystem. Good luck!
ELIGIBILITY: The Second International Reggae Poster Contest 2013 is open to all graphic designers and artists internationally. Artists/Designers are allowed to submit any number of original poster Entries. Posters should not have been published in internet, social medias etc.
RIGHTS GRANTED: Artists/Designers will have rights to their posters. Second International Reggae Poster Contest 2013 shall have the right to reproduce and distribute to third parties a limited edition (fewer than 1500 copies) poster copy of each winning Entry in a format of 50cm x 70cm. Reggae Poster Contest 2013 shall have the right to reproduce and distribute to third parties the posters in the “World-A-Reggae, International Reggae Poster Contest, 2012-2013″ catalogue/book in unlimited quantities.
