Jen taking a breather while jogging outside the Anacostia Community Boathouse. DC Strokes Rowing Club, Washington, DC.

A young guide stopped to take a sip from her orange pop (soda to some of you ;)). I snapped a picture while she was drinking but then she turned and gave me this huge smile. This could probably use a little post-processing but I still haven't taken the time to figure out Photoshop yet. Perhaps a little PS tutorial reading will happen over the winter holidays. For now, I have to stick to (or start *cough*) my law readings.

Have to post from the archives because I haven't been taking many photos lately. Really busy these days with school and while I'm finding inspiration in many simple wonders, I haven't stopped to whip out the camera to document it all. Maybe after exams I'll get out of this photography funk. For now, I'll keep sharing pictures from my travels. I'm always inspired when I've got my passport in hand. ;)

Refresh Dallas Home Page

With Fischer you always expect engineering innovation and although introduced last season and featuring a refreshed graphic for 2008/09 the Watea 101 provide an excellent balance of flex, weight and strength through the I-Beam construction.

Super-stable through the wood-iBeam core, the wood has two separate carbon fibre channels running through to lower weight yet provide more stability. On-snow the 101's are still big skis with 134-101-124 dimensions so they aren't built for "wall-flowers" but the ski remains agile and re-assuringly powerful through crud and chopped-up conditions on the steeps.

The tough sandwich construction is predictable, solid but not "dead", the graphics fair and in general this is a great ski for the serious back-country skier looking for high-speed thrills, excellent levels of float and a powerful ally in the face of some tough conditions.

skireviews.co.uk rating: 90/100

Excellent, rock-solid "Team issue" freeride skis. Graphically a touch subdued and although they can pretty much do somewhat lack a desire to inspire.

Two chubby faceted rondelles of soft green prehnite sit atop handmade and hammered recycled silver circles. The look is finished up with handmade argentium sterling silver earwires. These earrings are light and airy in feel and color and will go with a variety of other colors.

In Teesside there are hundreds of creative businesses who can benefit from knowing each other. Many of the businesses are relatively small in size, focusing on a specific skill or service. Everyone can benefit from knowing other professionals in their own trades and networking with other professionals who offer skills and services they may require in the future.

Registration will be between 6 and 6.30pm. We will greet you and ensure you are registered. At 6.30pm there will be an introduction to the event with any announcements. After this, it’s up to you to get out of the event what you want.

There will be developers with their laptops out sharing code and working on problems. There will be freelance developers and designers looking to connect with agencies. There will be photographers looking to offer their services to others. There will be business owners who may be recruiting. Most importantly there will be creative people networking with their peers.

There will be light food, kindly provided by Capaldi’s, during the evening. The bar will be open. The event officially finishes at 9pm.

We look forward to seeing you there, if you have any questions then send us a tweet or an email.

An overview of the Refresh Conference 2018 in DOT Groningen.

I went for a walk down by the river last night while I was back home. It had been raining real heavy all day and everything felt like it had been refreshed after the hot, dry days recently.

This was a shot I took a week ago while on holiday in the Isle of Man. I didn't know if it would come out that well but I actually really like the effect.

I'm also feeling pretty refreshed myself and excited for the future :)
