Owasco Reformed Church, also known as Reformed Dutch Church of Owasco, is a historic Dutch Reformed church located at Owasco in Cayuga County, New York. It was built in 1811-1815 and is a large, rectangular, Federal-era frame meeting house at the core of the hamlet of Owasco.

Well, the sun did finally come out to play - for a while.
They have just finished repairs to the United Reformed Church: looks like repointing of the towers.

First Reformed Church, also known as Piermont Reformed Church and First Protestant Dutch Church of Piermont, is a historic Reformed Church in America church located at Piermont, Rockland County, New York. It was built in 1946, and is a one-story, three-bay by four-bay, Wren-Gibbs Colonial Revival style church. It features a central square tower topped by a hexagonal steeple. Attached to the church is a side-gabled, I-shaped parish hall, completed in 1952. Also on the property is the contributing parsonage (c. 1860). Organized in 1839, it is home to oldest congregation in Piermont.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
La Primera Iglesia Reformada, también conocida como Iglesia Reformada de Piermont y Primera Iglesia Protestante Holandesa de Piermont, es una iglesia histórica de la Iglesia Reformada en América ubicada en Piermont, condado de Rockland, Nueva York. Fue construida en 1946 y es una iglesia de estilo Wren-Gibbs Colonial Revival de un piso, tres bahías por cuatro bahías. Presenta una torre cuadrada central rematada por un campanario hexagonal. Adjunto a la iglesia hay un salón parroquial en forma de I con gablete lateral, terminado en 1952. También en la propiedad se encuentra la casa parroquial contribuyente (c. 1860). Organizado en 1839, es el hogar de la congregación más antigua de Piermont.
Fue incluido en el Registro Nacional de Lugares Históricos en 2015.

As part of the so-called Bourbon Reforms, devised to limit the powers of the Church and of unscrupulous nobility and to further the economic reconstruction of the Spanish Empire, Charles III (1716-1788), king of Spain, also set great store by the revitalisation of the sciences. One of his projects was the Expedición Botánica al Virreinato de Nueva España sent to Mexico 1787-1803. It was led jointly by a Spaniard, physician Martín Sessé y Lacastra (1751-1808), and a native Spanish-Mexican José Marino Mociño (1757-1820). Besides exploring and collecting it was their task to found a Botanical Garden at Mexico City. Obviously they garnered many plants, which were also relayed to Europe.
One of these - arriving in England by the early 1820s - was the pictured Fuchsia arborescens or arborea. Our botanists had found it near the city of Uruapán in the state of Michoacán. In England it was scientifically described in 1823 by John Sims (1749-1831), the first editor of Curtis's Botanical Magazine, on the basis of plants grown from the seed brought back to England by that curious English jack-of-all trades - jeweller, antiquarian, naturalist, miner, business man, traveller and even utopian - William Bullock (1773-1849), who'd gone to Mexico for an unsuccessful silver mining enterprise.

After a small retreat the Northern Australian forces regroup and dig back into new positions. Along with this they connect up with the south keeping the line. In their new positions they make sure to prepare any form of AT and have it on stand by for the next attack. They also inform the southern lines of the Tanks whom along with them prepares extra AT defenses.

Ce mur a été érigé en 1909 à l’occasion pour le 400e anniversaire de la naissance de Jean Calvin et le 350e anniversaire de la fondation de l'Académie de Genève devenue aujourd'hui l'Université de Genève.
Le monument – réalisé en pierre de Pouillenay – est composé d'un rempart gravé et orné de bas-reliefs, devant lequel sont dressées, au centre, les statues de quatre réformateurs ayant œuvré à Genève soit, de gauche à droite, Guillaume Farel (1489-1565), Jean Calvin (1509-1564), Théodore de Bèze (1513-1605) et John Knox (1513-1572). Les statues portent la robe pastorale (la robe de Genève), et chacun tient à la main un livre, sans doute la Bible pour Farel, Calvin et Knox, tandis que celui que tient Théodore de Bèze porte l’inscription Academia, allusion à son rôle de premier recteur de cette institution (voir Université/Académie).
De part et d’autre des quatre figures centrales, on lit la devise adoptée à Genève après la Réforme: Post Tenebras Lux (c.à.d. Après les Ténèbres la Lumière). À leurs pieds, on voit les armoiries de Berne, Genève et du royaume d'Écosse rappellent d'une part les liens étroits unissant les deux cantons – signataires d'un traité de combourgeoisie en 1526 (avec Fribourg) et 1584 (avec Zurich) – et d'autre part l'origine de John Knox et l'importance du calvinisme en Écosse
De part et d'autre des figures centrales se trouvent les statues et bas-reliefs représentant les grandes figures protestantes des différents pays calvinistes et des éléments cruciaux dans le développement du mouvement. À gauche du groupe central se trouvent l'amiral de Coligny pour la France, Guillaume Ier Le Taciturne pour les Pays-Bas et Frédéric-Guillaume de Brandebourg, protecteur des réfugiés huguenots, pour l'Allemagne. À droite du groupe central se trouvent Roger Williams pour Providence en Nouvelle-Angleterre, Olivier Cromwell pour l'Angleterre et István Bocskay pour la Hongrie.
L'ensemble est protégé par une pièce d'eau rappelant le fossé des anciennes fortifications. Situé derrière le campus d’origine de l’Université de Genève, le parc des Bastions fut aménagé au 18e siècle au-delà des remparts de la ville aujourd’hui disparus. Il demeure un parc de verdure, havre de paix pour les étudiants universitaires.

According to the best educated guesses, the Reformed Church of Szabolcs has been built in the 11th century.
It has been significantly damaged due to an earthquake in 1841, after which it was slightly rebuilt.
In 1900 a tower was built in front of the church, which the Germans blew up in 1944.
Since then the church has been restored to its 16th-century state and can be seen in its full glory next to the Ground Castle of Szabolcs.
