Reflection of laguna colorada in bolivia

Image is shot under clear winter skies in the far north of Norway, Lofoten. This is a mountains region rising straight out of the ocean at 68°, north of the polar circle.

Reflection perfection - Absolute stillness across Lochan na h-Achlaise sees shifting sunlight breaking through onto the snow topped Black Mount; a scene of reflection perfection with nature's light play at its best.

The wild and rugged beauty of the landscape on Rannoch Moor stands in stark contrast to the peace and tranquillity of the still lochan.

A mesmerising morning watching the ever shifting light painting dappled patterns drawing out the contours and raw beauty of this remarkable landscape. I was so fortunate to come away with a bag load of images over a captivating couple of hours, no two seemingly the same.

Lake Powell has so much beauty in it. Hiking to Reflection Canyon is an amazing hike in itself. Cresting the rim and viewing the canyon for the first time is epic. It is easy to see how Refection Canyon got its name.

This trip was made possible by some good friends of mine. It would not have been possible without JK Schow, Jared Johnson and Royce Bair. We hiked up to Reflection Canyon and spent the night. Shooting the stars and enjoying good company. Spent the night in very cold temperatures and a little rain. Perseverance paid off.

To all my contacts I apologize if I dont comment on all but will do my best.

Kingfisher Park, Singapore

Here is the Arboretum Pond at the For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum, one of the Genesee County Parks. I had fun with this one, as one can rotate it 180 degrees and get an an obverse view. But, for the record, I do like this view.

As a photographer, a common theme I like to find is minimal geometry and patterns in nature or man-made objects.

Please let me know if you have any thoughts or comments on how I can improve this.

Out and in, in and out

Water flying all about

Reflections swimming coloured green

In natures mirror, they are seen

Trees that drown, trees that rise

Placing beauty in all eyes

That see water flying all about

Out and in, in and out

An aerial view over Reflection Canyon at extreme low water level this year.

Lake Powell is the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States. It locates on the Colorado River in Utah and Arizona, United States. Plagued by climate change-fueled drought and increasing demand for water, it has fallen to its lowest level on record since it was first filled more than 50 years ago. When the lake level had dropped far enough that the exposed canyon walls created a pale outline around the lake. This is how Reflection Canyon, one of side canyon in the lake powell, was seen during the lowest water level.

Most of the time I photograph reflections in water when there is no or little wind resulting in reflections as a mirror. Sometimes people ask me if it ever is windy in Groningen. Well yes, and so here is the proof... :-)

Taken at Corpus den Hoorn, Groningen, The Netherlands.
