The Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge includes estuaries restored when miles of dikes were removed from the Nisqually River Delta as well as wetlands of the Nisqually River.
It was strange yesterday, the sun never broke through and we were shrouded in a cloak of fog which made the day very cold. Luckily the visit from the First Minister and the Deputy First Minister went well, an awe had a great opportunity to raise the profile of the work for the High Brown Fritillary. Everything will be alright is by The Killers, let's hope they will be.
Beautiful sunny Sunday in Reykjavík, went for a walk in Heiðmörk. We got some more snow yesterday, so everything looked so white.

I walked around Reflections Lake this afternoon, after the morning rains had passed and the sun put in an appearance, to see what fall colors I could capture. The wind had died down to next to nothing so the water was more like a mirror. I had made it about three-quarters of the way around the lake when I took this shot looking North and capturing this stand of trees. This is about it for fall. We're expecting strong winds tomorrow in the Anchorage bowl which will probably blow most of the rest of the leaves off the trees!
