Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
They are arboreal and gregarious by nature. A herd of capped langurs consists of 2 to 14 langurs led by a single male.

When my father did his doctorate in the early 1960s, my mother typed out his dissertation from my father's taped dictation. I don't have the original tape recorder any more, but the typewriter is in the background here.
You can't see it but if you had a Reel to Reel Tape Recorder, you could hear the February 1964 Heavyweight Championship Fight between the heavily favored champ, Sonny Liston, and a brash newcomer named Cassius Clay (before he changed his name to Muhammed Ali).
Les Keiter did the play-by-play and Howard Cosell did the color commentary and pre and post interviews.
After Clay stunned the world with a TKO in the 7th Round, while being interviewed by Cosell, he proclaimed 3 times, "I Am The Greatest!"
It's all on this tape!

A reel of recording tape, once a common format.
A few companies still make brand-new analog reel-to-reel recording tape for hobbyists and professionals keeping old tape machines alive. For audiophiles with a healthy bank balance, a newly-designed reel-to-reel deck made by a company in the EU is now on the market.
Used in reel-to-reel tape decks.

Mary Hopkin's song:
"Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way"

The Concertone 790 portable tape recorder.
I think it looks better on the white paper background than the black duvetyne I used for the original photos I shot over a decade ago.
Press "L". Digital people always laugh loud at my old-fashioned thinking on how to properly record music.

TEAC A-3300SX-2T 10.5" (26.7cm) two-track reel-to-reel tape deck, late 1970s.
I bought this unit at auction in the early-to-mid-1990s for a winning bid of US$35.00, or about $58.00 adjusted for inflation; a very small fraction of its original four-figure price when new. Besides the missing head covers, the mechanism is a little sticky and the level control pots are flaky. Despite the aforementioned mechanical and electronic issues, this deck is still capable of excellent performance — given a little TLC — due to the wide tape tracks and fast 15 inches-per-second (38 cm/sec.) tape speed.
Shot with two Einstein E640s (in color mode) with FOB35 35" octaboxes, one with G35 grid to the left of camera, one with internal diffuser to the right, and an AlienBees B800 with shovel reflector behind the paper backdrop.
I was heading out to the garage to get a cassette tape for the photo. While I was there I noticed my grandpa's old reel-to-reel tapes. Nostalgia that goes back even further. I'd like to spend some time listening to these again. I only knew my grandpa for a few years; it would be good to hear his voice again.

Concertone 790 portable reel-to-reel tape recorder and TEAC A-3300SX-2T two-track and A-3340S four-channel tape decks. All three machines can record and play at 15 inches per second (38.1 cm/sec.).
(Concertone and TEAC had a relationship, too. The former marketed a variety of models manufactured in Japan, including their 700-series portables. One of their early-1960s models, the 505, was a rebadged TEAC, made before TEAC (formerly called the Tokyo Electro-Acoustic Company) established a sales and marketing presence in the United States.
