unlike a lot of our trash pictures, this bottle actually made it *to* the proper recycle bin and almost made it through the opening ~grin~ (this was not staged, that is exactly how i found it :)

If you have accumulated alot of house paint and spray paint over the years and ALSO live in an area where Grafitti artists have defaced public property such as a public parks or a building walls , we have a great alternative use for your paint !
Let's say for example someone painted all over a white wall at the park, and you just happen to have some leftover white paint.
Save your community a little money while recycling the leftover paint you have and offer to paint the wall white for them.
Always clear this with a city official first.
No you won't look silly, as a matter of fact maybe it will lead others to follow your path.

Viñales, Pinar del Rio. This is where I had my most peaceful experience in Cuba. The valley floor is surrounded by those mountains. Inside the mountains are fantastic cave systems with rivers. See cave HERE.

This looked so funny (and useful!) in the 99p Store in Sheffield, I just had to get one! The lightweight bag tucks inside the "ball", it's a massive bag and seems pretty strong too. Anything to not to have to resort to throwaway plastic bags!! I have a lovely collection of shopping bags now and manage to have at least one with me at all times!
We left the very old cedar rough. Very nostalgic, though I spent all Sunday school picking splinters out of my hands.

A year-old dumpster dive score is finally getting utilized. Not for its intended purpose, but at least it's getting used. Stay tuned for the reveal. #reducereuserecycle
Purple because that's the color of their house. And we gave them the "pretty" side of the shutters. It will look a little less wild once the wisteria starts taking over in a few days. #reducereuserecycle

The story:
I pulled this out of my Worm Factory 360 one day (along with another one that was a bit smaller). I planted it outside, and it shot up to become the tallest plant in my garden. I don't even remember what I had fed my worms to result in something like that, but it must have been the core of some kind of yummy vegetable. At first I thought it was a cauliflower or cabbage, but when it matured, it didn't look like anything I knew. The leaves were edible and tasted like a mix between broccoli and snow peas?? It was pretty cool--I pull up random stuff out of my worm bin all the time!

We went out looking for a bigger dog kennel for Tug, and instead wound up with TWO loveseats, a wingback chair and matching footstool, and a couch. Now to figure out where to put it all... ahh the joys of narrow doorways in old houses...
