Ce sont des virtuoses. Aux commandes, ils fendent l’air, glissent et s’élancent dans les airs. Ils enchaînent les manœuvres, les vrilles, les loopings et les tonneaux. Leur show se regarde comme une danse, c’est un ballet.
A failed chute nearly caused disaster for the world renowned Red Devils Parachute team at Whitehaven Festival Air Display. Fortunately, cool thinking and skill meant that the pair landed safely in the deep water of Queen's dock which had been designated an emergency landing zone. A few metres either way and they would have hit the boats or a nearby fun fair.

Panamanian city bus... they will be doing away with these Diablo rojos (red devils)
President MartÃn Torrijos Announced on May 14th that he will be freeing the city of the infamous and dangerous Diablo Rojos, recycled school buses painted in bight colors, and the state will take over all public transportation.
Christmas is here and we want to wish everyone that supports OGlam an excellent and happy holidays.
OGlam has grown so much since last Christmas, and it is not just because of us, but because of you all that have supported our academy, mall and agency .
Nothing is possible without love, charity, and compassion. We have shared so much during the year and this amazing feeling makes us different and unique, but also human. We know that OGlam exists because you all want it to succeed, your overwhelming support makes us so happy to share in a world where anything is possible.
The season is about counting our blessings and we are so very thankful for the joy you've shared with us! We wish you the most Happy Holidays and New Year!

A LEGO build using (mostly) trans-brick.
I had built a version of the right panel a few years back, but let it go at an art show. I built the left panel a few months ago as a "freehand" attempt to recapture the first one.
Then I just used a photo of the right panel to rebuild it (with some variations)
The center panel was pretty much just a whim. Could probably stand a re-work.
Hinges took a bit, not 100% happy with them either. But the work is a functional display now.

Stinging Nettle Slug Caterpillar (Cup Moth, Setora sp., Limacodidae) "Red Devil"

Cup Moth larvae are often highly ornamented and brightly colored. Two main types can be distinguished: larvae armed with rows of protuberances bearing stinging spines called nettle caterpillars, or non-spined forms where the surface of the larvae may by completely smooth, called gelatine caterpillars. The larvae of this family bear no prolegs on their abdominal segments. The larva attaches itself to the substrate by means of an adhesive ventral surface. The movement is like a slug hence their generic name.
A stinging slug caterpillar (like this one) generally bears warning colouration and stinging hairs. These hairs can inject a venom from poison sacs carried at their base that are used as defensive weapons. Reactions can range from a mild itching to a very painful sting.

You will notice I have given each individual a descriptive superhero-style name in the title of the image. The Setora genus have several colour variations - "Red Devil", "Yellow Devil" and "Green Devil". This is for my own reference mainly because practically none of these caterpillars are identified (maybe even ever formally) and this will allow me to group the growing number of images I have into their like-kinds including the various instars I have captured. The names will be included as tags.
