Had an enjoyable evening at South Gare on Teesmouth near Redcar, Teesside at the weekend. Treat to dramatic skys, double rainbows, glorious light and sunset over the quaint Paddy's Hole. Not bad for an evening at a local spot for me.

Once voted the 3rd WORST new bulding in the whole of the UK. I can see why. Interesting but not aesthetic!

On 23/11/22, The Redcar blast furnace (on the right) was demolished, changing this part of the Teesside skyline forever.
Redcar is a seaside resort and town in North Yorkshire, England. The local council, a unitary authority, is Redcar and Cleveland. Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, it lies 7.5 miles (12.1 km) east-north-east of Middlesbrough on the North Sea coast.
Coatham Marsh nature reserve forms the foreground, and the soon to be demolished Redcar steelworks behind. Above the second wagon is the trackbed of the line that allowed trains to Skinningrove direct access from the steelworks and import terminal.
