Sorry, I've been procrastinating on taking photos lately.

Back story: I tried to make them visible, but eh. These are few of many scars on my body. I went through a few rough patches in my life. Getting better, but it's taking awhile.

Blaise Rosenthal Studios - Santa Cruz, CaliforniaOver my Field Work Term, I worked with a painter from Santa Cruz, California.My supervisor has a friend that he got into painting, named Tim Straus. Tim, aformer contractor, suffered from a rare brain injury a few years ago that leftthe right side of his body paralyzed. Tim uses a wheelchair for mobility and isjust recently going back to work for construction. Painting has helped Timregain some normalcy in his life and has been an integral part of his recoveryprocess. Here I am helping him use a contractor’s chalk line to make marks on a canvas we stretched together for a piece he wanted to make. There are manysteps in Tim’s process that can’t easily be done one-handed, and so I was gladto help him out during my time there. I will be returning to Santa Cruz to visit my family and I plan to visit Tim and help him make some more art.
