Paul worked at Ground Zero in NYC during 9-11; helped rebuild a home at the tsunami epicenter in Indonesia; comforted victims of genocide in Rwanda; spoke to leaders in East Timor during the war; inspired students and monks in Myanmar; promoted peace and reconciliation in Pakistan; developed leaders deep in the bush of rural Africa where villagers had never before seen a white man; and fed the hungry in impoverished Haiti.

A Recovery Act worker cuts equipment loose from the East End Smelter. Specialized training at West Kentucky Community & Technical College helped provide the skills needed to clean up old, inactive buildings at the Paducah Site.
Then I got a phone call & in 1998 I went back into teaching. I had to jump through a few hoops; the authorities wanting to know why I'd not taught for a millennium, was I now healed or still a bad influence? I was healed, so I proved to be & got a little card with snap to show for it & letting all know that I was an OK teacher. My validation & re-entry certificate. A call came & I said 'Yes I am available to serve'. I spent two days as a replacement teacher, got asked back & two weeks later got offered a permanent job. I took it. Two weeks after that I moved from the shared house into a new garden flat. New home, new job, newness. Art & photography got dumped; no time for life in the New Labour, New Curriculum, New Teaching Experience. But...
