A lone grizzly bear was busy feasting on the berries found in Denali National Park. Without missing a beat, he lifted her head and walked across a clearing where one small spruce tree struggled to survive the harsh winters of Denali. After a quick sniff, he twirled around and began to scratch his back. He forced his bruin body into the tiny branches and finally the tree began to caress his swaying body as he enjoyed the comfort of his newly found ‘spruce recliner’. “Just bring on the food and the remote. I am all ready for the football game. Go Bruins!
I was walking down the street and saw these dried leaves resting on a bus stop bench. The bokeh is from cars driving down the road.

The gold plated Buddha figure is 15 metres high and 46 metres long It is one of the largest Buddha statues in Thailand.
The photo was taken in 1985 with my analog Nikon FE camera and 35mm slide film, and now scanned with Nikon Coolscan 4000D film scanner.

On an island in Songkhla Lake lies this huge reclining Buddha at Phranon Laem Temple. It's an unassuming temple, as far as Thai temples go, but any vehicle driving over this island is going to see the back of this statue on the main road right behind it and be enticed to come and explore. I was stood up taking this photo and barely reached the statue's outstretched hand, although there is a moulded platform this statue lies upon, which reached to my waist.
One of the largest reclining Buddha statues I have seen in Thailand is at Wat Lokayasutharam. The remains of the temple are confined to the ground floor and foundations which makes this sight all the more amazing
This is what I intend to do this weekend, if there is room on the sofa that is.

I was standing on South Beach of Vermont's Lake Willoughby when I took this photo of a relaxing kayaker. The date was October 6, 2016, during our first long-distance, multi-day trip in an electric vehicle (EV). Our trip originated in Madison, Wisconsin (878 miles [1,413 kilometers] away, as the crow flies).

A reclining Buddha is a statue that represents Buddha lying down and is a major iconographic and statuary pattern of Buddhism. It represents the historical Buddha during his last illness, about to enter the parinirvana. He is lying on the right flank, his head resting on a cushion or relying on his right elbow, supporting his head with his hand.
