From the book jacket:
Popcorn is the great American munchie, but too many of us know it simply as a predictable staple of the multiplex or the microwave. Popcorn serves up over 60 tantalizing recipes — both savory and sweet — to ensure that popcorn is never boring again. For tart and piquant tastes, there are Lemon-Pepper Popcorn or Classic Barbecue, or even Gorgonzola and Green Onion for something completely different. On the sweet side, the offerings include Hawaiian Luau Bars (featuring coconut and white chocolate), Popcorn S’mores, and Bananas Foster Mix (the popcorn version). Author Patrick Evans-Hylton also shows how to use popcorn as an ingredient in main course dishes such as Popcorn Shrimp and Poppin' Codfish, which use popcorn as a coating ingredient. Seafood fans can enjoy the unique variation on Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes. Gorgeous photographs throughout show the end result of the scrumptuous recipe. Popcorn's got a brand new bag!

Ever want a baked potato in the summer but can't bear to turn on the oven? I came up with a way to have that potato with the Instant Pot and an oven trick: www.suziethefoodie.com/instant-pot-baked-potatoes/

peanut butter swirl brownies.
the BEST brownies ever.
so for testing for the cookie book isa posted a recipe for 'deluxe cocoa brownies' which are the best-dense,chewy,fudgy,the whole deal.they're also the base for the 'chocolate chip cheesecake topped brownies'.
i didn't think that they could be improved upon, but i was wrong.peanut butter is basically,as in is,the best thing ever,so i made a peanut butter topping and turned them into peanut butter swirl brownies, and i think they're like the best thing i've ever baked.okay, maybe not,but they're up there.best brownies, ever.
This is the imperfect version of the recipe.
Oh yeah. These were good.
They're going to be even better.
Recipe testing for Leites Culinaria. Also took the opportunity to play with some new actions in Photoshop, this set uses a retro action that gives it a nice aged 1970's look.
I put my hand up for some cookbook recipe testing.
And here are the results - absolutely delicious! Served with spiced yoghurt.
I don't mean to brag, because so many attempts have been just okay before this one. But the recipe for the chocolate-banana bread, for the book?
Oh god.

Place the potatoes in the oven. Back at 425 for 25 minutes. By Culinary Cory. Posted on culinarycory.com
Living up to its name this Brutti ma Buoni is “ugly but good”. But it is the closest I have come to getting these Italian hazelnut meringue cookies right. (And I’m sure to devour them anyway.) I’ve been chasing the proper name and recipe for these cookies for a couple of years! I don’t think they are even close to perfect yet - double cook? Oven temp? (perhaps time to beg @eriscooking for some guidance) And they doo look suspiciously similar to the “bowel buddies” my mother in law makes. But I am delighted none the less! . . . #bruttimabuoni #hazelnutcookies #homemade #uglybutgood #almostright #darkinstagram #toodark #baking #cookies #treats #fbcigers #recipetesting #winterbaking #winterbakingseason #meringuecookies #LexGoFurther via Instagram ift.tt/2NZP5GB
i dig a good corn pudding. we had some for christmas this year. brianna's is better. maybe it was the prime rib fat she poured into it (that certainly wasn't part of the cooking light recipe i was following).
Artichoke, Black Olive, Halloumi, Preserved Lemon and Roasted Pepper Pasta.
Recipe here: www.mybelazu.com/recipetest/artichoke-trofie.html
although I used stuffed pasta instead of trofle and black olives rather than green as they are just soooo much nicer.
Score: 4/5. Nice. I love all the ingredients and the combination of them. I just think they work better as more of a tapas rather than thrown into one dish. If I did it again I'd add pine nuts.
Combining a New Year's resolution with a flickr Project 52. Cooking one new recipe per week, and putting a photo of it here. Using the term 'new recipe' fairly loosely - it may just include an ingredient I haven't used before.
