Common and abundant earlier in the season. After this morning's light frost, I was surprised to find six fading and worn ETB survivors active in the meadow near my home.

Decided to head up Little Cottonwood Canyon again before hitting the road Wednesday. This time I went later, so no filters needed. Climbed down amongst the bolders, found my perch, and began taking pictures, feeling renewed and excited, like the energy from the stream was rushing into my body, left exhilarated and relaxed. I love this place.

Sometimes we all have to recharge and relax, especially with the world as it is today. And, that world is another version of itself, instead it’s the year 2086 and Orcs, Dwarves, Elves and other creatures roam this version of Earth with you.
Here we have our Main Street Witch, Brigid Grogan. She’s one of Chicago’s many inhabitants and registered user of magic with the White Tower, and is a huge public figure. Brigid constantly offers help to anyone that needs it and is always protecting citizens around her. She is very huge into the “do not harm, take no shit” clique, but it proves useful.
Even someone as powerful as Brigid, she needs to take the time to recharge.

Days have been exhausting lately. Busy days at work, the at home “to-do” list just keeps getting longer and nothing ever seems to get crossed off it. My computer hard drive died, and along with it at least 2 years worth of photos I hadn’t backed up. I’m seriously missing Covid quarantine days ( oh yeah, add that to the list too… I had Covid last month) I was happy to see the first frost this morning, telling me that winter is coming. Although I miss the daylight, I do enjoy not feeling guilty about just coming home from work and immediately changing into pajamas and going to bed early. I need recharging!
With last night’s frost, this may be one of the last bouquets of flowers for the year ( besides the store bought ones, that aren’t nearly as much fun). A friend gave them to me at work gif my birthday. I thought they deserved their own photo shoot!
