The great reception hall at Shibamata Taishakuten, a Buddhist temple, set in a traditional Japanese garden. You actually walk round the garden on a covered walkway of wood - you leave your shoes at the entrance and walk in your socks (as a Swede I am quite familiar to the concept of not wearing shoes indoors, but this was a new experience even for me, and as this was in December, it was a bit cold for the toes). Very contemplative and very beautiful. The garden was created in 1965, and the reception hall dates to 1929.
Shibamata Taishakuten was founded in 1629 - but the buildings in the area are generally from the early 20th century. The inner shrine of the Taishakudo (Taishaku temple hall) was finished in 1915 and the hall of worship 1929. The temple is centred around the worship of Taishakuten (sometimes called just Taishaku - written 帝釈天 or 帝釈 respectively), the Japanese name for Sakra devanam Indra (that is, the god Indra, known from Hinduism).

From the bottom of my vault, now that I am a little better at editing I decided to publish a new version.
The wedding reception was held at a gazebo not too far from the chapel. It was a lovely spot with lots of trees and flowers.
This is from my last trip out, I had problems getting reception. Standing on this boulder I finally got enough reception to send a text, and check the latest aurora forecast. Remember you are always welcome to drop by my Facebook page for more pictures. www.facebook.com/GauteFroysteinPhotography

After the wedding, we just exited from the fuzz and sat down.

An image taken at Pengam Junction on a Saturday morning in May 1990, where the 6C85 07:10 MGR empties from Aberthaw Reception Sidings was snaking its way into the No. 2 reception line adjacent to the Freightliner terminal. BR 37897 would then complete a run round and then deliver the hoppers to Cardiff Tidal Sidings, from where they would be moved to Cardiff Docks for loading.

it is the intersection of the main gate before State Guest House. But it has been named "Yotsuya High School". I liked the sense of the person named.

Minffordd Cottage Hospital is a small isolation hospital built in the aftermath of the 1882 Bangor typhoid epidemic. There were a total of 42 fatalities, and source was eventually found to be bacteria transferred in water and milk from a local farm, situated above Bangor's water supply.
The hospital was finally abandoned in 2009, having functioned as a hospital for the mentally infirm in its final years.
These photographs, taken in April 2017, showcase the buildings as they stand today.
Inspiration for the framing of the shots came from the 1975 New Topographics exhibition.
