If there any Rebus fans present, which I very much doubt, this the Oxford Bar, made noteworthy by Ian Rankin.
Today when checking out one of the little libraries I was fortunate enough to meet Rebus, named after Inspector John Rebus from the Ian Rankin book series. (How appropriate meeting a literary character while checking out books). Anyway Rebus and I had a lovely long visit which involved lots of cuddles and hugs and, yes, a few tears as well, as he did remind me so much of our little Fred. I must admit, while my brain tells me not to get another little cairn, my heart is telling me...do it. Oh who knows, maybe one day I will cave.
I've done a fair bit of reading this week as I've spent longer than usual on trains.
So Inspector Rebus and I have been spending some time together. I love books like these and I promised myself that unlike other "series" books I was going to read the Rebus novels in order. This is Number 4 Strip Jack. They are all great!
