I was walking by the Willamette River today when I saw this heron fly down by the marina. I followed it down and got to see it maneuvering this fish until it was able to swallow it. This was one of the interim steps.

One more pop at my dancing milkweed seed pods. This time I put a sheet of gray mount board behind one and flashed away. It changed shapes as the slightest breeze took off the feathery silk, not to mention rearranging it constantly. Fun stuff.

This picture was taken at Fort la-Latte Castle/Brittany.

I have to admit that staying away from photography (for different non-reasons invented by me ...) for almost a year was not a good idea at all. Felt like I was discovering the camera for the first time. All the processes took me forever: taking out the camera, figure it out which lens is better to use in different situations, making all the adjustments ... wow ... :). And the results are terrific :(... Well, I have to prepare better for my next trip and hopefully I will have some decent photos.

Jane rearranged some items on my desk so she could have a nice spot to rest while I did stuff on my computer.

Rearranged my posies in the vase, gave them new water and took them out on the deck to photograph them. I am very impressed in how long these are lasting.
