All good things come to an end! This was the view from the bow of the ship as we sailed back southward through the iInside Passage from the Arctic Circle to Bergen.
The trip was everything I had hoed it would be. The only regret was that I could have seen the last couple of spectacular Aurora displays whilst we were on land. I've got so many beautiful images of the shapes and moving curtains of the Northern Lights that I taken deck and whilst they are decent images they are not as tack sharp's the ones I took on shore.
Many thanks to you ALL for the views, faves and comments you make on my shots it is very appreciated.

Seen is the rear DPU of the train passing through the local Golf Course.
Back side of old store, Omaha Arkansas,
I believe that this is the original general store
and Post Office building, built about 1873.
This would make it one of the oldest structures
on the area. Upon verification, would be eligible
for the National Register of Historic Places.
While driving to the airport I caught a glimpse of something bright in the rear view mirror. After an overcast, dark cloud, on the edge of rain morning the sun had indeed burst through and there was even a slight promise of some blue sky to come. Grabbed this shot through the back window while in transit. You'll be glad to know that I wasn't driving. What a beautiful send off. Have another photo posted that was taken under very similar circumstances, although in the evening vs. morning, if you'd like to check it out: flic.kr/p/2pqQjLD .

The Rainbow Rod and Gun Club planted fish here in the 50's and would drain it once a year, catch the fish, and give them to anyone who would plant them in the creeks and ponds in the hills around the Bear Lake Valley. That would be illegal now, but is how our streams were stocked in those days. I learned this information from Jim Parker after posting another photo of the rearing pond a year or so ago.
It is often a great place for reflections, especially with the colorful winter willows and dogwoods. The little pond is located next to US highway 89 at 6500' elevation in Montpelier Canyon, Idaho.
Another ‘classic’ angle from the ‘City of Arts and Sciences’ in València, this time the rear, or is it the front, of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia (Queen Sofia) building, which is a theatre complex used for Opera, and many other types of performances. It is a stunning design and depending from the angle you view it, looks either like an alien space craft, or a motorcycle helmet. On the evening I shot this the premiere of a new opera was to be performed, and so the building was fully illuminated.
With some cloud cover I opted for a long exposure, 30 seconds, in order to get some movement from the clouds, and also to mask out people walking in front of me. Though I had to wait some time before I could actually take the shot as there were a group of people busy taking photos of themselves, and so not moving very much; but hey ho.
