проспект Н. Абдирова (до 1943 года - улица Карагандинская), начало от проспекта Бухар-жырау.
Родился Нуркен в 1919 году в ауле N 5 Каркаралинского района. Перед войной работал народным следователем в Караганде, занимался на летних курсах местного аэроклуба.
В 1940 году был призван в армию и стал курсантом Оренбургского авиационного училища. В тяжелейшем 42-м его направили в 808-й штурмовой полк 267-й штурмовой авиадивизии. С октября по декабрь 1942 года он выполнил 16 боевых вылетов, уничтожив при этом 12 вражеских танков, 28 грузовых автомашин, 3 зенитных орудия и более 50 фашистских солдат и офицеров. Получив очередное боевое задание, 19 декабря 1942 года Абдиров в составе группы штурмовиков ИЛ-2 вылетел в район станции Боковская-Пономаревка (Ростовская область) на уничтожение танков. В ходе боя его самолет был подбит. Времени хватало, чтобы выпрыгнуть с парашютом. Но внизу был враг. И тогда Абдиров вместе со своим бортстрелком Сашей Комиссаровым направил горящую машину вниз, в скопление гитлеровской техники...
Указом Президиума Верховного Совета СССР от 31 марта 1943 года Нуркену Абдирову было присвоено звание Героя Советского Союза (посмертно).
Фронтовые братья -казах Нуркен и русский Саша - были похоронены на хуторе Коньки Вешенского района Ростовской области.
К слову, по просьбе общественности улица Жданова, проходящая параллельно проспекту Нуркена Абдирова, была переименована в улицу Комиссарова.

Everyday I wake up very early in the morning and went to ghat without having my breakfast.I just drink two glass of water and went out. After reaching ghat I wait for freight boat and I unload shipment until boat stop coming.-Sujon
Patriot Paws puppy, Sam...and his wonderful family. The big dog is Georgie-Girl. Sam is their 18th service dog to raise. You don't find sich good people every day, but they are out there!
Today I accidentally locked my self out of the office at 1 o'clock in the night.
Standing there, feeling quite quite stupid without keys and without money and just barely enough battery for one phonecall i choose to call Cirkusprinsesse.
And even though fast asleep she came to my rescue and lend me her couch for the night.
In this world there are true heroes who really saves the day. And Marianne is one of them.
I really love you girl. Smooches from me to you.
Voluntary rescuer who spent 18 days rescuing survivors and retrieving bodies from the site of the collapsed Rana Plaza that housed several garments factories within its premises.

...Web page tribute to Ralph Styles....This photo is a repost but thought it appropriate for today. Thanks to all the veterans that have preserved our liberty and freedom over the years, many making the ultimate sacrafice....
I was cycling one morning in Siesta Key Florida and was lucky enough to catch the daily flag raising ceremony at Ralph's seaside home. Afterwards he sat at this outdoor table by the flag pole and had his morning breakfast. I introduced myself and thanked him for his service to our nation, we only talked breifly, but I will never forget meeting him......the next time I visited Siesta Key he had passed on and this memorial photo was taped to his flag pole by the creator of the above website.....Thanks for your service Ralph
