It's time to wake up the neighbours again. Any fellow car enthusiasts out there will know the wonderful sound one of these Shelby Cobra 427 V8 engines can make when you give it a rev!
A forced perspective shot of a Solido die-cast 1/18th scale model Shelby Cobra 427 roadster parked in our street and ready for the road. I was setting up a second shot of me behind the wheel, but it started raining. This little model does actually come with a fully removable hard top roof and roll bar. More photos to come, hopefully from some locations outside of our village.
The real thing would be so nice to have. But, as one sold recently in the US for around US$ 5.5 million, I might need to get a little more in the piggy bank!
A group of Union Pacific diesel locomotives line the service tracks in Provo, Utah on Sept. 8, 1991. While most of them today have been retired from the roster, and possibly scrapped, today a visitor could easily encounter a pair of SD40Ns parked on the ready track. EMDs are immortal.
American Bald Eagle ready to move. In this case, the eagle jumped up to a higher branch, preened for a while and then flew. This one was photographed in Florida.

Union Pacific GP30s No. 805, 846, and 806 are ready for departure from Riverdale Yard in Ogden with the Park City Local on Sept. 18, 1982. The Ogden to Phoston turn was one of the last locals on the UP where GP30s could be found working together in solid sets, well into the mid-1980s.
This time of the year I enjoy wandering through my garden, knowing that my perennial flowers are starting to emerge from the soil. I miss my flower friends!

I read somewhere once, perhaps in a book, a description of a mother in a different era 'getting ready for morning', It stuck in my mind as it seemed a little strange to me at the time, but maybe a mother with a large family went to bed more relaxed knowing that the breakfast table was laid or that the eggs were ready to cook - I don't know!

this little chickadee was one of a few that was flitting to and from the palm of my hand for my seed. feeding the birds at parks where they are accustomed to people is a treat !!!
