Usually people come to the dragonboat races to wach the fierce competition, but I found her turning her back to the races and reading amongst thousands of people.

On the weekend the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragonboat Races were held in False Creek in Vancouver. This was the 21 year that dragonboat races are held there. Over 150 teams competing it means about 3,500 padlers.

Our first team won two second places, I was in the second boat, we did OK it was our best time ever 7 seconds better than our previous record.(2007)

53 readers took part in the News of the World Read-Aloud on Thursday, Feb. 1 in the MST Atrium. All in all, 24 students and 29 faculty and staff brought the book to life for the nearly 120 people who dropped during the day to listen the readers.
