Northwest Airlink ERJ-145(?) arriving RDU 23R while jetBlue ERJ-190 holds.
Taken from United Express ERJ-170.
The original plan for this trip out to RDU Airport was to get some of that fog this morning. Nothing was coming out as I planned. The only photo that I took that was interesting (to me anyways) was this long exposure photography of a plane before takeoff.
Once again many thanks for visits, comments and faves, much appreciated!

Good Morning, RDU! My name is Shirley and I was born right up the road in Smithfied… Brogden to be exact (home of icon Ava Gardner). I moved to Raleigh right after I graduated from Mount Olive College… yep, home to the Mt. Olive pickles! Having spent my entire life within a 40 mile radius of my hometown I have watched many changes take place in this city of ours. On September 10th I will participate in my first MS Ride and I will attempt to ride 150 miles over the course of 2 days. I will begin today with a training ride on the Neuse River Trail. This trail runs from Falls Dam to Clayton, about 33 miles. I love riding this trail! I especially love this bridge which is wedged right in the middle of the Johnston County line and the very popular sunflower field. To me the trail perfectly exemplifies what growing up in North Carolina was like. As it winds through wide open spaces I get to reconnect with that native NC scenery I grew up with, sometimes I am greeted by a fox, rabbit or family of deer. Human families are also out. In the Spring you are greeted with the smell of Wisteria, in the summer honeysuckle and right now the Clematis are in full bloom. The waves exchanged remind me of that small town sense of community North Carolina is known for. When I see an older man fishing along the Neuse I am automatically transported back to those simpler times… #growingupinnorthcarolina *insert Andy Griffith theme song here* / on Instagram www.instagram.com/p/BJxbDHHhTam/
