Something a bit different for me. An RC boat at speed in a fountain. At a car show.

San Jose, California.

I set out yesterday morning to get the sunrise at Watson Lake. It was a bust, my fault not the sun's. On the way out I met two gentlemen and their RC Boats.

SJ rst 577 Gävle - Borlänge - Mjölby is stopping at Örebro C. Hauled by Rc2 1100, most carriages date back to the fourties.

Back in 1986 any passenger traffic on swedish heavy rails was operated by state railways SJ and was mostly loco hauled except diesel lines and local traffic around Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö.

Access to the second platform was via a level crossing, that was protected by the canopies.

Every year the Marine Institute has a radio controlled boat race for high school students. The students design and build the boats.

Ter hoogte van Sloe kon ik de RC DE67 met een gedeeltelijk beladen Cokes trein vastleggen namelijke de eerste 8 waren beladen dan wat legen , en dan weer een paar half beladen op het eind richting Bottrop.

AMX 10 RC

The AMX 10 RC is a french reconnaissance wheeled tank developped in the 1970's and still in use today. It is made of a powerful 105mm canon built on a wheeled chassis in order to increase its mobility on road. This powerful armement allows it to fulfill fire support missions along reconnaissance missions. A notable aspect of this vehicle is its ability to turn on the spot as it wheels work just like tank tracks.

As it is one of my favorite modern french tanks I couldn't not make it. Of course, the model is fully fonctionnal (2 working hatches, able to roll, gun elevation...)

AMX 10 RC

L'AMX 10 RC est un blindé de reconnaissance à roues développé dans les années 1970 and toujours en service aujourd'hui. Il emporte un puissant canon de 105mm construit sur un châssis à roue pour accroitre la mobilité sur routes. Ce puissant armement lui permet d'accomplir des missions d'appui feu en plus des missions de reconnaissance. Un aspect notable de ce véhicule est sa capacité à tourner sur place car ses roues fonctionnent de la même manières que des chenilles de char.

Comme il s'agit d'un de mes chars français modernes préférés je ne pouvais pas ne pas le faire. Le modèle est évidemment entièrement fonctionnel (2 trappes ouvrables, les roues tournent, élévation du canon...)

Op de inmiddels zeer warme woensdagmiddag 24 augustus 2016 werd besloten om samen met een clubgenoot richting het noorden te rijden om een foto te maken van de Bauertrein, want die had ik nog niet in mijn collectie en aangezien het nog vakantie was en prachtig weer werd een poging gewaagd. Helaas duurde het veel langer dan verwacht maar uiteindelijk zien we hier dan de DE67 van Rheincargo met zijn fraaie sleep ACTS containers op weg naar Veendam bij passage van Staphorst als trein 41784 in een fraai avondzonnetje.

It was not at all easy to capture the neighbouring states of Gambia in photographs. For example, I only saw 2-3 cars from Guinea, but every time while driving and across the road. So I was very happy to have found this truck near the port of Banjul. After SN, RGB and RIM just my fourth African country I could "grab", I had expected more frequent appearances of foreign plates.
