After Rectify's second season stunning season finale, I was despondent. I adore the show so, so much, I could hardly bear the thought of waiting almost a year for it to come back for its third season.
Created by Ray McKinnon, the characters are such incredibly real, fully formed and complicated people, they embed themselves deeply into my soul. Aden Young, J. Smith-Cameron, Abigail Spencer,Adelaide Clemens, Bruce McKinnon, Clayne Crawford, Luke Kirby, Johnny Ray Gill, Jake Austin Walker, Jayson Warner Smith and the entire cast are just breath-taking. Waiting a year to see them again feels like the true loss of dear friends.
If you aren't watching Rectify yet, START NOW. You can stream the first season on Netflix now, and the second won't be too far behind, I'm sure. It has a style all its own. It's been called dreamy, thoughtful and "True Detective's quiet, moody art school sister." It's really not something I can do justice with words, you have to see and feel it for yourself. Get ready for a story told at its own pace, which draws you in with every nuance from its INCREDIBLE cast.
As I thought about waiting for the third season, I moped about all afternoon until I decided to turn the emotions into a self portrait. I wanted to play off the scene of Daniel discovering the feathers in his pillow; an experienced deeply steeped in meaning within the context of the show, but seemingly inconsequential. The dreamy light, the birds, the bits of nature, they all crept in without my consciously intending it, but as I kept working on the image, I saw the reasons they made themselves known.
So I will just say this, go watch Rectify right now :)

с одной стороны — доброе, красивое и воспитательное кино — о том что надо стремится к своей мечте, невзирая на препятствия, так точно Кэп! с другой — слишком уж картинно-шаблонное, хотя детям-школьникам / домохозяйкам и котикам думаю всё это очень понравится — пишу без всякого негатива, фильм-то на самом деле красивый и сделан с размахом
точно стоит посмотреть если вы из фан-клуба Christian Bale — вся картина держится на нём и станут наконец понятны все эти интернет-шутки про Кена, Christian сыграл на голову круче всех остальных, хотя артисты изображающие топ-менеджеров корпорации Ford также успешно отыграли циничных ублюдков (никто и не сомневался), плюс небольшая итальянская сюжетная линия, насчёт «банкротства» Ferrari, тоже ничего, вот Matt тут немного «картонный герой», ну да ладно
узнал много нового про гонки на выносливость — «24 Heures du Mans» (24 часа Ле-Мана) и Dayton, отличные артисты, съемки на природе, так что если надо развеяться/переключиться, то это ваш/наш вариант
