This image was inspired by many people on Flickr. Lately I have been seeing the most amazing light ray images. I had to go back through a couple of years of photos to find this one but I knew I had it somewhere. This was taken in June of 2008.

Just wanted to say thanks to all my Flickr friends for sharing their images and keeping me inspired. I also, want to thank everyone for the visiting my stream and leaving all your nice comments.

This is the ever so popular and "touristy" Antelope Canyon. I was amazed at the amount of foot traffic is this canyon. If it weren't for the guides moving people out of the shots, it really wouldn't be worth the effort. Still, it is very pretty and this is one of the shots of the light rays that I captured.

The sunlit cumulus brought me out of the house first, but before I had time to set up a tripod or think about a shot, I noticed the elusive Anticrepuscular Rays rising in the E.South East over the top of the horizon. Lift camera, steady self, point... shoot. Do NOT faff about. They faded in a few seconds.

Amazing view and a serene place.. Peaceful and calm..

unique morning drama over the cityscape. rays happens in this location more often then one might imagine!

I truned the corner and this is what I saw. It's as if an opera voice came out of nowhere and went AWWWWWWEEEEE! Hope everyone has had a great week and happy Friday!

Suddenly a ray of light hit the rusted iron bars and the spiderwebs.

A shot from 2012. My mojo went awol yesterday, resulting in 16 RAWs going straight into the bin!! Here, then, is a re-visited shot of mine fom 2012 :-)

Now retired, I am free to wander and sometimes post daily, so perhaps you might take a quick look @ the previous 2/3 shots, if you have a moment, which means that my exposures will continue to enjoy exposure! Thanx, Phil

To all who view and/or comment on my pix; each is a help and a pleasure in equal measure. As I use wide or super wide lenses a lot, I feel that my landscape shots (that'll be most of them, then :-) benefit from viewing after pressing L and then F11

In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary.

I've shot this lighthouse many times but never seemed to have captured decent rays. This time there was just enough vapour in the air to create the haze. Pity about the clouds...
