A spontaneous moment:
(Flickr allows for 1min 30sec long clips, so watch it on Vimeo (Should be a download link, bottom, right corner of that page). - Unfortunately there was some loss in quality. :(
I stepped into the livingroom, when the rain outside caught my eye.
I thought of taking a few photos, but instead picked up the Sony to shoot some video.
I framed the bench and the tree and pressed record. There was not much thought behind it, but I liked the scene that unfolded with the birds.
I didn't notice it until I watched the video.
Three birds. Two walk off and leave the one alone. The one bird stands alone for a moment. Until one of the other birds returns to the one that was left alone. They share a moment...and fly off in unison. Perfect.
You can guess I drew a parallel to this with myself. Except in this video the bird returned.
-------
I shot the video longer than what is shown here. I cut it down because the song I chose for it was the perfect length for when the birds take off.
I think it was an awesome moment and I'm glad I captured it. Makes me laugh everytime I see the one bird return into the frame with such haste...and the moment they spend staring at each other before they take off. Hope you enjoy.

I just began to ecperience around with the gigantic RAW-Video-capabilities of the 5DMark3...this video was captured with 1080p 30fps in RAW. The quality and sharpness of the picture is phenomenal! Way better than the original Canon codec. There will be more of this focal length-comparison videos from me in the future.
By the way...the 3xcropmode gives the best quality because your have pixel by pixel on the sensor...in this case 1920x1080. So with the 2xIII on the 500 I can get 3000mm focal length on full frame sensor...this is totally great for wildlife. And because you make movies with 1/60 at 30fps you can film at really bad light conditions also...
Sorry for the windshakes and the differences in the exposure...will make it better next time!
