Just a quick one this morning. It's been awhile since I done some artwork, August I think. A lots happened in the months that passed, with my sister Trish's passing & my own illness. I'm still on the mend but thought I'd try & drum up some support for the Faestock Challenge & say hello to everyone. ... I hope you are all doing well :))

On #earthday we visited the woods that had recently been ravaged by fire. A silent piece of nature, broken and barren. But beneath and around the buzz of new life is promised.
Thank you Yvette for letting me tag along and help me create this image.
The original image was a bright and sunny day, but thanks to some Magic Brushes I was able to add some atmosphere to the background.

Taken at the 2017 Arizona Renaissance Festival. The background does not exist at the Ren Fest; it is from the Ireland collection of backgrounds at raw.exchange/. I also added the staff in her hand. Finished with an onOne Effects Vignette Subtle layer on top of a modified onOne Effects Glow Strong layer on top of a Topaz Adjust Moody Cyprus and Tan layer.
Shot with a Canon 6D and Sigma 150mm f2.8 OS macro lens. ISO 100, f2.8 at 1/1000 second. Flash fill from a Canon 550EX with TTL cord atop a Stroboframe bracket. High-speed flash sync used.
