Raps (Brassica napus), auch Reps oder Lewat genannt, ist eine Pflanzenart aus der Familie der Kreuzblütengewächse

(Brassicaceae). Es ist eine wirtschaftlich bedeutende Nutzpflanze. Genutzt werden die Samen vor allem zur Gewinnung von Rapsöl und dem Koppelprodukt Rapskuchen. Die Steckrübe Brassica napus subsp. rapifera (Syn.: Brassica napus subsp. napobrassica) ist eine Unterart von Raps (Brassica napus).

GEFUNDEN IM: Das Biosphärenreservat Bliesgau ist ein Biosphärenreservat der UNESCO im Südosten des Saarlandes an der Grenze zur französischen Region Lothringen und Rheinland-Pfalz. Es umfasst eine Fläche von ca. 36.000 ha und wird vor allem von Wäldern, Streuobstwiesen und Auenlandschaften der Blies geprägt. Des Weiteren ist die Vielfalt an Tier- und Pflanzenarten sowie das dichte Nebeneinander von städtischem und ländlichem Raum für die Region prägend.

i shoot, beside butterflies, also some landscapes during our trip in the Eifel. The fields were very beautiful with the vegetation beside it.

Not as sharp as I would have liked ,but ... It was a fair way up high and quite a distance ..but I like the composition

Weiblicher Neuntöter oder Rotrückenwürger. Die Neuntöter fressen vorwiegend Großinsekten. Diese Beute wird mitunter zur "Vorratshaltung" auf Dornen aufgespießt.

This rape field is the day before reaping. In the summer, this becomes a sunflower field.

The view from the bastei rocks in the saxonian switzerlands down into the valley of the river Elbe. Thats one of the scenes I have on my bucket list for quite some time now. Mostly I'm around here at sunrise, that’s why it was not possible yet. When I recently was on my rapefield search in that region an inner voice brought me here.

Der Blick von der Bastei in der Sächsischen Schweiz in das Elbtal. Dies ist auch eines von den Motiven, die schon seit geraumer Zeit auf meiner to do Liste stehen. Meist bin ich allerdings zum Sonnenaufgang in der Region unterwegs, darum war das bisher nicht möglich. Als ich letztens auf Rapsfeld-Suche war, befand ich mich hier in der Gegend und eine innere Eingebung hat mich dann hierher geführt.

Before all the rape fields are harvested, I thought I'd upload this panorama :o) It was the most beautiful day.... wonderful in every way. This just topped it off ! Hope you're not all sick of rape fields - I can't get enough!
