...I don't know who he is, but he shows up every year wearing a "media" badge and stands in the middle of the reenactment area. This year he is in a large number of my pictures - effectively ruining the "period" effect. He is not associated with the Flickr group! Okay, rant over. :P
Bombed in WW2 and was rebuilt there and then on the dot. It took several hours and trains ran to a revised timetable.
Nowadays there would be an enquiry, the station would close, trains would be stopped, a public announcement to stop terrorism and contractors would be hired in to rebuild the roof to a modern design.. Taking 5 years (delayed to 9) and charging a lot of money for it.
Just because I'm pissed
Some people shouldn't have pets.
The dog is visibly terrified of the water, is made to go in kayak, let off at beach, made to run along the dock and then jump back into kayak...where they both promptly get dunked into the water.
Poor dog spent the whole swim back to shore desperately trying to climb back into the kayak.
Once they are on the beach poor dog gets told off when he won't get back on the kayak.

Found in our neighborhood newsletter right below the threat that you better not even plant a pansy without getting their permission.
1) What will they do with the animals they trap? The humane shelter here is overrun with animals and they euthanize 50,000 dogs and cats a year. So any animals they pick up will have a death sentence.
2) The animals that are tearing into the trash are the many Possums, Raccoons, and Skunks that run the neighborhood at night. I have photos.....
3) If you have a sandbox, wouldn't it be easier to just cover it than to have someone's pet picked up and killed???
And what does "I don't want to see harm come to these animals" mean???
We have adopted several "stray" cats that were roaming the neighborhood. They get food and vet care. The females stay pretty much in our yard. The males do wander. We can't bring them all in the house. I just don't see how they should give their lives for other people's petty complaints.
I can't tell you how mad this makes me and it isn't the first time this neighborhood and their oddball homeowners association have pissed me off. I'm gonna bite my tongue and stop here.

Well I'm fucking disappointed in you. ALL OF YOU.
He was your friend! Your fucking friend. Now he's getting into a fight and you encourage him to fight against that giant mother fucker?
Seriously, are you fucking shitting me you moron???
I CAN'T BELIEVE I KNOW YOU!
Rants aside for one moment, I'd love to hear about people's preferred workflow and apps of choice. Here's my standard procedure. One, shoot in the native Camera app. Always. Two, take the chosen image in to Instagram to see if it works as a square crop and try out a few filters. Three, if the crop is good but the filters aren't I move on to what's basically my go to app: Camera+. Cheap, easy to use, lots of nice automated features and great results almost always. Four, if all else fails - usually when the lighting or exposure is poor - I turn to Snapseed. It's expensive, a bit complicated but highly functional. This app is my last resort - although I've noticed I'm starting to use it more and more. Fifth and finally, I take the edited image back in to Instagram, add one more filter (usually) and post! (P.S. In all the above apps I have preferred functions and settings, and ones I never touch.) What about you? What's your workflow and app/s of choice? While you have a think about it, here's another sunset.

lachlanpayne: @dkoons Thanks David.
dkoons: Further, I shot with instagram so I can frame it in a square straight up. But then take the original (rectangular) image back to snapseed. Then back to instagram --> post. BOOM!! âš¡
prettypicturedreams: Camera+ is the best. Also, where were these sunsets done?
lachlanpayne: @prettypicturedreams Southern Highlands, NSW.
