I preface this complaint with the understanding that people deal with far more taxing problems than this... Nonetheless, I feel compelled to rant... We thought we were being smart patching our cracked composite kitchen sink with marine fiberglass, since the model has been discontinued by the manufacturer and nothing else would fit the cutout in our granite counter top... Darren spent the past two days patching it, waiting for it to dry and and re-installing the plumbing... Eager to clean up the backlog of dishes, I just turned on the water in the sink... AND... guess what? The sink cracked down the SAME spot! New kitchen counter tops were not part of the homeowner's agenda plan, nor does it jive with my schedule! I want to cry... and in fact, I think it might help... boo-hoo!

live.pirillo.com - Last night, I tried to install a Beta of SP1 for Vista. To put it mildly, it didn't go so well. Coincidentally, two viewers have written in to ask me how I feel about Vista. This collection of images depicts the life and death on a tree. With first look, I thought the tree is dead, with dried leaves and branches; however, down near the ground, sprouts of young leaves are abundant. Magnificent is life.
The guy who lives here left two dogs behind. He just moved in, so the fences are not secure. the dogs get out all the time. he is gone for three weeks and asked jen to feed them.
apparently he also gave out jen's number to others and told them she was responsible for the dogs while he was gone. This was news to jen when his old landlord called to complain that the dogs had escaped and were there.
The students on this island are completely irresponsible. They have dogs and cats and decide to find someone to take care of them one or two days before they take off for two or three weeks. Jen was already taking care of three other dogs and a cat!
Anyways, this idiot leaves his dogs for three weeks in a new place (outside) and the dogs get out all the time.
We found out yesterday that the dogs were found dead on the lawn a few days ago, the victims of poisoning.
Poisoning is quite common on the island. Apparently the dogs were out terrorizing goats and sheep, trying to kill them. Odds are a disgruntled farmer was protecting his livelihood and poisoned the dogs.
I'm really angry at this guy because it's one thing to be irresponsible, it's another for their irresponsibility to result in the unnecessary deaths of two completely innocent animals.

My main rant about Mannies...
One time when we were eating at Mannies, when the waitress brought us our breakfast, she was carrying it on her arms using potholders beneath so she wouldn't get burned. That's all well and good, but the potholders were disgusting, and they were touching my food. I was so grossed out that I couldn't really eat the food.
Other than that, I like Mannies.
