Only reason I posted this one is her right eye is showing, and tomorrow if I still have shingles spots on my right eye the doc is going to remove them. I so want to say scrape them off, but maybe there is a gentler term so I won't. Oh Joy.

I been thinking of joining the 30 days of Rants and Raves group. I guess this might be a rant against sick eyes. Let me think a few minutes. Hmm.

OK, few minutes later. I will try it. Worst that can happen is they kick me out as picture not directly related to my RANT Against Sick Right Eyes! But, it does have a right eye in it, and I can assure you that her eye looks better then mine. Don't believe me? Look here

Why is all this necessary? They are ruining the very countryside they claim to protect. Do we have to have walkers paths wide enough for vehicular access made with limestone chippings. Why not manage the tree population and use wood bark? Why do we have to have stone stair cases; the one up to Middlefell Buttress has now got a handrail ? I am now reconsidering my subscription.

Remote, lonely church on a hilltop overlooking the Orwell, although in fact it is barely two miles from the Cornhill in the middle of Ipswich. Always locked, but at least there is a keyholder notice now.

Announcing the new season of Afternow.

I was working on my laptop (in bed hooray!) and got up for a drink. When I got back there was a huge rant by my 14 year old about how she can't go anywhere without someone knowing me. She goes on a trip with friends to So California? She meets like 4 different people in 4 different places who "happen" to know me. Then, she goes to Utah, same thing. Seattle? You got it! Vegas is a given. That's right Tiffany, your mom is a rockstar...don't you forget it.

For some reason, my choice of diaper bag offends museum personnel. This is me getting obnoxious about it.

Mkay. So this might be good or bad news. But I'm Taking a break from AG. I'm not permanently leaving, (yet). But I might not give up AG. Depending on if I like life without it. I would really like to focus more on school, and other photography. So that's why I'm mainly doing this. && perhaps I will save LOTSS of money with this change. Anyway, I can wait till Summer. Like legit. I really miss being tan, no school, and all that summer jazz<3. So yea. I'm mostly on my other Flickr. Ya know, MmonsterSwagg. So yeah. I like Cows. && Mooing. MmonsterSwagg <3

I just wanted to post a short rant about street furnature in the style of Mr Bentos. The National Cycle Network's signs tend to either be odd sculptural brightly painted cast iron things, or otherwise small numbers stuck on lamp posts. In this case though, they've tried imitating the traditional county road signs with their circular tops. It may well be made of some plastic rather than iron, but I think I generally approve -- it looks far better than the vast majority of modern street furnature. If only they could do something about the arms...

heh.

Wasn't gonna post anything related on the ol' Valentines day theme. But then as I was eating these pretzels (which I am still eating at this moment), I noticed the heart shape and had a little chuckle. Damn things are everywhere.

Don't get me wrong, I'm by no means a "bitter single", and sure, I find it annoying that so many people are assholes by nature, and this is their obligatory day to attempt to think of others. But I hold no contempt to those that are out tonight enjoying some fine dining and gifts. The reason why today is no different to me than any other? Nothing to do with single-dom. I might end up going out tonight perhaps, maybe alone, maybe with an old friend or a new friend. On a few occasions today I'm positive I'll be trying to make someone smile, and I bet I'll likely in some way let deserving people know that I appreciate them. Thing is, it's just like any other Thursday night.

New concept... be nice for no reason.

K? Awesome.

Rant Night Patrick Mc Conville

This guy ranted for like 2 hours on the top of the volcano Santa Maria. Awesome religious rant, super intense yelling till he went horse, five mintues straight of "dios dios dios'" when he ran out of breath and adjectives for him. Felt close to god on the top of a semi-active volcano watching another one erupt. Film

At first I didn't like the shadow ... but it makes perfect sense for this photo ...

As I walked past it today, I noticed the neglect, there's debris, mold-like growth near the entrance ... but it doesn't steal away from its beauty ...

I do not claim to be an expert on this issue, but I do know that this building is at risk to be demolished ... still!

I am perplexed by this.

Not only is it visually beautiful and appealing ... Bertrand Goldberg was the architect ... (Marina City/Towers ... yes! same architect!) ... how can they demolish this gem? It needs landmark status!

Well, the last I heard, the Mayor is stalling on the decision ... with good reason ... either way, he'll suffer. The money people vs. the architecture enthusiasts ... doesn't seem good.

I was glad to overhear several people discuss this situation near Prentice ... and then a man asked me "what do you think? demo or landmark?" as I took this iPhone photo ... "Landmark!" (sorry for shouting, mister!) ... he responded "hope so!"

here's an article ... google will find you more ...

Well what we can we do? There's this:

who also have a petition (not sure if it is still active): www.change.org/petitions/stop-the-demolition-save-bertran... (You don't have to live in Chicago to "sign" it!)

Here's to hoping.

St Mary, Marlingford, Norfolk

The elegant 19th Century north aisle creates the sense of a sprawling church, though in fact the chancel is rather long and narrow. You enter through a particularly grand Norman south doorway into what is essentially a space of the half century beginning in 1870 or so. Faith, Hope and Charity by Powell & Son are typical of that dependable workshop's early 20th Century output, and there are a surprising number of memorials including those to the memorably named Caesar Life and Humphrey Rant.

Facebook is really starting to show it's ugly side, or alternatively, it's starting to show the ugly side of my friends' activity. Who classifies themselves as a "fan" of "I Hate Waking Up In The Morning!". WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT. Does not compute.

Also, facebook friends please stop taking quizzes. They're annoying :(
