Random Cafe based in Watford is not only a cafe but they share out food given to them.

Their aim is to reduce food waste, campaign to make the food system fairer and more sustainable, and support the local community.

Today I went to a random weave basket workshop with Naturally Useful (www.naturallyuseful.co.uk)

It was a very interesting day, although I had to bow out early as my hands were cramping. But I still like the basket which will be used by our new log burner after it is installed.

The different colours in the basket are due to the different species of willow that are grown on the farm and harvested in January for use at workshops and to make items for sale.
